Role Profile:

The Business Consultant, provides deep domain knowledge and solution design expertise throughout the entire sales cycle by supporting customer engagements via activities such as gathering requirements, running customer workshops, solution design, developing proof of concepts, demonstrating solution capabilities, specifying deliverables in a Statement of Work and also building/delivering these solutions.

As a Product Manager within the Platform Cluster for our flagship product, LSEG Workspace, you will lead the evolution of our desktop platform, interoperability, and core technical capabilities. Due to continued growth, they are seeking anSenior Electrical Design Engineer with a proven background in UK building services consultancy to join their London team.

The Role

You will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of sectors, including commercial offices, high-end residential, and student accommodation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading electrical design from concept through to completion
  • Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, and technical reports
  • Designing in line with UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and CIBSE guidance
  • Delivering designs using Amtech (Trimble), Dialux/Relux, and Revit MEP
  • Managing project delivery, budgets, and timelines
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and project teams
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements (Essential)

  • 5+ years experience in a UK building services consultancy
  • Strong experience in electrical building services design (power, lighting, small power, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and UK Building Regulations
  • Proficiency in Amtech (Trimble), Dialux or Relux, and Revit MEP
  • Experience managing projects and client relationships

What you’ll do within the CTO Risk and Control team:

  • Contribute to the uplifting and upscaling of the AI Controls and Governance,
  • Assist in enabling a responsible adoption of best-in-class AI platforms for the bank
  • Partner with AI engineers to ensure AI enablers and Products are engineered and build in compliance with best practices and enterprise policies and Standards
  • Identify and help implement opportunities where AI can uplift the Risk and Control process and practices.
  • Critical thinking and ability to clearly articulate risks and dimension impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess AI Risks across applications, systems, platforms, and Use Cases. Identify and escalate Risks.
  • Partner with the Technology teams to identify risk mitigation and controls to enable the safe adoption of AI across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate with Internal Audit, and 2LOD on AI specific challenges. Help drive risk-based conversations and provide response to inquires in a timely manner.
  • Identify and lead process and control improvements to uplift and upscale the AI control framework and governance process.
  • Contribute to the uplifting and upscaling of AI Policies, Standards, and Procedure.
  • Follow up and escalate on remediation actions, risk mitigations, and Risk breaches. Ensure CTO remains within acceptable Risk Appetite.
  • Contribute to drafting controls and risk mitigation strategies for AI.

Experience that will help you succeed in this role

  • Past experience working in a Technology Risk & Control function preferably focused on emerging technology.
  • Proven background auditing Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model implementation or systems
  • Background in Application development and/or application/system risk assessments, Agentic AI or Gen AI specific is preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture, threat modelling, and risk assessments.

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high impact engineering team responsible for designing and evolving LSEG’s mission critical LAN and data centre connectivity platforms. You will be working at the forefront of enterprise and low latency LAN network design, delivering resilient, best in class architectures that underpin global real time trading and market data systems.

As part of the specialised network connectivity and hybrid cloud engineering teams, you will help shape and deliver high performance network services across on premise and hybrid cloud environments. The team plays a central role in the firm’s long term transformation, where innovation, technical depth, and continuous learning are core principles.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

LAN & Connectivity Engineering

  • Lead the design, optimisation, and evolution of LAN and data centre networking architectures, including switching, routing, traffic engineering, and segmentation.
  • Deliver low latency, deterministic connectivity solutions optimised for real time trading and market data workloads.
  • Develop and maintain network topologies, high availability designs, and reference architectures for use across LSEG environments.
  • Implement and validate LAN features such as EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, QoS, multicast, and performance tuned network services.

Technical Influence & Collaboration

  • Serve as a LAN design specialist, guiding engineering teams and contributing to architectural forums, design reviews, and platform roadmap discussions.
  • Partner closely with infrastructure, application, and cloud engineering teams to define connectivity requirements and support workload onboarding.
  • Provide consultancy and technical direction to teams integrating their services into LAN or hybrid network environments.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities across complex LAN, campus, and data centre connectivity environments.
  • Contribute to improvements in observability, monitoring, network telemetry, and performance diagnostics.
  • Evaluate emerging LAN technologies, vendors, and design innovations, presenting findings to senior engineering stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong experience in LAN and data centre network design at enterprise scale.
  • Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 architectures, including STP variants, MLAG, VLANs, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, and ECMP.
  • Proven background in building low latency, high performance network environments (preferably financial services or similarly demanding workloads).
  • Strong knowledge of network segmentation, policy enforcement, redundancy design, and high availability strategies.
  • Solid understanding of Linux networking, packet flows, NIC capabilities, traffic shaping, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of modern container technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Awareness of container networking concepts (e.g., CNI plugins), and how workloads consume network resources in hybrid cloud or on-prem container environments.
  • Familiarity with Gitbased workflows, CI/CD principles, or automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, scripting languages).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex LAN design topics to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills across layered network and infrastructure environments.
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities.

ROLE SUMMARY:

LSEG has embarked on a significant programme of work as part of the Engineering Strategy, to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Architecture Governance processes. The role will apply technology including AI, to streamline processes and ensure high levels of design quality.

The role would suit an individual with a strong technical Engineering and/or Architecture background with an interest in the hands on delivery of technology to tackle complex business problems.

Engineering Governance provides a critical a function and this role presents an important opportunity to help define, build and operate the next generation of LSEG governance to deliver on the Engineering Strategy and maintain LSEG’s position as a leading provider of solutions to the financial industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Defining engineering governance processes to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of architecture governance.
  • Ensuring LSEG Products adhere to best practice and LSEG standards.
  • Building the new governance processes using AI and low/no code environment i.e. Microsoft PowerApps and providing support collateral.
  • Operating the resulting processes including tooling support, providing training courses, running CIO and Group Level ARB forums with senior engineering leaders, assembling outcomes and actions.
  • Promoting Engineering governance and quality standards across the Enterprise

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A willingness to actively explore emerging technologies and techniques to enhance Engineering Governance capabilities including the application of AI.
  • A strong background in software engineering and/or Architecture.
  • Experience of PowerApps development.
