The Team
The Equity Finance Technology team are seeking a highly motivated software engineer for the Trading application, located in London. Plan and execute security testing operations across the enterprise. We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of critical banking applications on the IBM i platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, particularly in system security, performance, and resilient application design.

About the Role

As an Leading RPG Developer, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring applications are developed in line with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and secure coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements and user stories aligned with business needs and solution architecture
• Develop high-quality, clean, and testable RPG code in accordance with development standards
• Ensure all development adheres to secure coding principles and the Bank’s IT Development and Risk Management frameworks
• Participate in Show and Tell sessions with stakeholders
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
• Evaluate and improve Legacy systems, including reprogramming and adding new features
• Produce technical documentation, user guides, and training materials
• Collaborate with IT teams to define specifications for new development
• Provide out-of-hours support where required
• Ensure appropriate escalation of risks, incidents, and security concerns

Security & Controls Focus

• Maintain and enhance system security through effective management of user profiles, authorities, and object-level security

Role Title: BRIM Convergent Invoicing Functional Consultant

Duration: contract to run until 30/06/2027

Location: London, Hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite

Rate: up to £736 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Role purpose/summary

• 8-9 years of experience with Hands-on SAP Convergent Invoicing implementation knowledge.
• Also having end to end knowledge of BRIM functional processes & data flow.
• At least worked on 2-3 projects in BRIM CI area.
• Having knowledge of usage based & recurring billing scenarios.
• Knowledge of Convergent Invoicing including BITs & CITs, Billing, Invoicing, Posting Area, Bill Cycle, FICA posting, Revenue Accrual, Billing Request, Invoicing offsetting etc.
• Having basic knowledge of basic FICA configuration & processes.
• Good to have if certified in BRIM.

Contract Initial 6 months Inside IR35 £500 per day

We’re looking for a hands-on Delivery Manager to support a large-scale mainframe modernisation and exit programme, targeting full decommissioning by late 2029 / early 2030.

This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone confident managing stakeholders, joining the dots across complex technical landscapes, and driving progress across multiple teams.

The Role

You’ll support a major programme to modernise and retire a legacy mainframe estate spanning supply chain, logistics, finance and people systems. The work includes accelerating existing decommissioning plans, standing up new refactoring workstreams, and helping the business safely exit the mainframe.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing delivery across integration and batch-heavy workstreams
• Driving stakeholder engagement across engineering, architecture and business teams
• Coordinating inter-team dependencies and unblocking issues
• Tracking delivery, risks and issues using Jira
• Supporting investigation into legacy applications, historic data usage and batch processes
• Helping shape the transition from mainframe to cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS microservices / SAAS)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager in complex, legacy or transformation environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and domains
• A technical enough background to understand the landscape and challenge constructively (not language-specific)
• A deep-dive mindset for investigating historic issues and dependencies
• A hands-on performer, not a purely coaching delivery lead

Programme Context

• Several applications identified for decommissioning (mainly housekeeping)
• Several applications already decommissioned but with data still in use
• Other systems at varying stages (awaiting strategic decisions, re-implementation, or unknown)
• The mainframe currently limits speed of change and AI adoption

Contract Details

• Initial 6 months contract with extensions likely focused on discovery and shaping
