This is a full time permanent opportunity based onsite 5 days per week from our Runcorn office which is also going through an exciting £100 million factory and warehouse expansion where we will see the site’s size increase by 40%, making it one of the largest cabinet production lines in the world.
What you’ll be doing
· 1st line support of all production control manufacturing Systems and line control OT hardware with co-ordination and ownership of issue through to completion
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve OT hardware issues, including the installation of replacement components.
· Ensure robust line control OT assets support processes are in place including backups processes and spares
· Help IT teams to deliver successful installation of new assets in line with Engineering project time line.
· Analysis of business requirements and creation of functional specifications; documenting all potential opportunities.
· Work with all internal teams and 3rd party OEM’s in the delivery of support and proactive maintenance, protection and disaster recovery of existing assets.
· Key business contact and subject matter expert for operational manufacturing processes.
· Ensure all work is carried out in line with Howdens’ project methodology.
· Provide out of hours support on a weekly Rota and ensure faults are fixed within system SLA.
· Documentation of processes and systems and hardware i.e. User guides, Disaster recovery documents etc…
· Work closely with continuous improvement and operational teams to R&D potential improvement activities / processes.
What we need from you
· 3 Years or more experience within an IT role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
· Experienced in troubleshooting and fault fixing OT hardware issues along with the installation and support of new devices.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
