Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (working towards Chartered status).
Experience in water and wastewater engineering.

Strong knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts and current CDM legislation.

Expert in FE analysis for strength, fatigue, defects, and service life
Skilled in ASME III/VIII, API-579, BS7910, BS7608 (R3/R5/R6 a plus)
Bonus: experience in CFD, dynamics, fatigue, degradation mechanisms is highly desirable
⚛️ Must have nuclear sector experience
Your Toolbox Should Include…
Eng. degree + CEng
️ Experience in nuclear SSC assessments
️ Strong communicator with commercial awareness
Expert in ABAQUS (or ANSYS, Dyna, etc.)
Used Altair Hyperworks or similar tools
Familiar with code assessments (ASME, PD5500, BS2573, BS EN 13001)

You would be working on a variety of exciting and interesting buildings projects utilising 3D Revit modelling of structures and associated analysis software.
You should have a minimum of 6 years of buildings design experience, ideally be Chartered or nearing this status, and have excellent communication skills. You should be able to attend meetings with clients and represent the firm. Scia and Masterseries experience would be useful, but not essential.

A Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Manchester. You will be responsible for supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.
The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Geotechnical Engineering etc) and a minimum of 3 years experience conducting ground investigations. You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites. They are looking for candidates who come from a contractor background.
