As a Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring systems are fully operational, compliant, and maintained to a high standard. The role includes planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding, and completing detailed service reports using digital systems. This position requires a proactive Security Service Engineer who can work independently, manage their workload effectively, and deliver excellent service to clients on site.
This is a mobile position, and the successful Security Service Engineer will travel between multiple sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
• Installation, service, repair, fault finding, and maintenance of IP CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems
• Working in a field-based Security Service Engineer role across multiple client sites
• Maintaining and servicing systems across a range of manufacturers
• Taking responsibility for the overall quality and standard of work delivered
• Communicating effectively with customers and site contacts at all times
• Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
• Providing support to team members where required
Skills and experience required
• Full UK driving licence
• Proven experience working as a Security Service Engineer or in a similar role
• Relevant industry qualifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines
• Experience working with multiple security system manufacturers
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
