About the Role

Responsibilities

Given the practical on-site engineering nature of the role, our Engineers will be expected to attend site as required for Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Client Support and training.

Provide technical support for CCTV VMS Systems, including diagnosis and resolution of hardware/software faults.

Provide technical support for Access Control Systems, including Genetec, Gallagher, Lenel, CCure.

Be responsible for preventative maintenance and fault calls for all CCTV systems.

Be responsible for preventative maintenance and Firmware upgrades for all CCTV cameras.

Actively conduct site surveys and create comprehensive reports.

Interpreting and understanding proposal documents, schematics, and drawings.

Interfacing with other systems and sub-contractors, including Access Control, Building Intelligence and Fire and Intruder alarm services and other life safety systems.

Installation and testing of structured cabling systems.

Work at heights when necessary for system installation and maintenance.

Provide regular reporting to the Head Office.

Provide technical and sales support in client meetings and new system design. This will often include the integration of Security Systems with IT networks.

Essential Requirements

Demonstrable knowledge of CCTV installation.

Demonstrable knowledge of commissioning CCTV systems.

Demonstrable knowledge of structured cabling systems.

Previously verifiable experience working in the electronic securities sector.

Understanding of the interfacing requirements between CCTV systems and a building’s Access Control, Intelligence, building management and life safety systems.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Undertake maintenance and remedial works on water treatment equipment through the application of accepted engineering practice and in line with our established procedures.

  • Plan and prepare your work based on the equipment specifications and system design drawings (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and potable water systems). Ensure equipment and component installations are of acceptable quality and meet design specification.

  • Complete pre-commission checks prior to commissioning water treatment equipment.

  • Sample system water, check water quality parameters, system operating temperatures and pressures, equipment integrity and record measurements. Set up and programme ancillary equipment and programmable logic controllers for effective operation. Measure and calculate component timings, record data and interpret readings. Provide summary reports to clients.

  • Prepare estimations of materials, equipment parts and labour, review access arrangements for remedial works. Condition survey for turnkey projects at client sites.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, undertake like for like replacements and repairs in situ. Reinstate operation and maintain efficient operation of the water treatment equipment. Liaise with customers and inform on issues, necessary repairs, any resolved problems.

  • Manage daily stock, consumables and parts and administration. Complete site work forms and file all records to meet submission and reporting deadlines.

  • You will join the Service team and will need to be able to establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with all members of the team.

Required Attributes:
You will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • You are suitably educated to A-level or have an equivalent level qualification and have proven experience working with building services systems.

  • Your enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to learn new skills.

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

  • You take pride in your appearance, are well-presented and conduct yourself professionally at all times.

  • Youre practically minded with an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving. That you can work responsibly on your own and as part of a team with a common goal.

  • You have a full clean and valid driving license, valid passport / work visa that allows you to work in the UK. Our fleet insurance policy requires all drivers to be 25 or over. Interviewees will be required to sit a RoSPA driver profiler assessment.

  • Disclosure and disbarring service clearance is a pre-requisite for access to several of our client sites.

  • You will need two references; One must be from a previous employer.

We’re recruiting for an experienced IT Support Analyst to join a growing business based in Coleshill, near Birmingham. This is a fully on-site role, supporting both office and warehouse users in a hands-on IT environment.

This opportunity would suit a confident IT Support Analyst or Senior Service Desk Engineer who enjoys being close to the business, resolving issues quickly, and taking ownership of day-to-day IT support.

The Role

As the IT Support Analyst, you’ll be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to approximately 85 users, the majority of whom are based in a warehouse environment. You’ll work across a broad Microsoft-focused stack and be expected to resolve most issues at first contact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing on-site IT support across office and warehouse environments
  • Windows desktop support (Windows 10/11)
  • Microsoft 365 administration and user support
  • Azure Entra (Azure AD) user and device management
  • Heavy use of Microsoft Intune for device builds, imaging, and endpoint management
  • Troubleshooting networking issues such as IP conflicts and connectivity problems
  • Supporting hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, and label printers
  • Supporting warehouse systems integrated with ERP and shipping processes
  • Managing tickets via a service desk system and prioritising issues effectively
  • Remote support for hybrid users using TeamViewer
  • Working in line with security best practices, including MFA and Cyber Essentials Plus

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Analyst, Senior IT Support Engineer, or Senior Service Desk Engineer
  • Strong Windows, Microsoft 365, and Intune experience
  • Good foundational networking knowledge
  • Comfortable supporting both office and operational/warehouse users
  • Able to work independently and hit the ground running
  • A problem-solver with a strong customer-focused mindset
  • ITIL v4 knowledge or certification is highly desirable
  • Some exposure to Linux environments is beneficial but not essential

Working Arrangements

  • Location: Coleshill, Birmingham (on-site, 5 days per week)
  • Hours: 7.5-hour working day between 8:00am - 5:30pm (some flexibility available)
  • This role is on-site due to the nature of the warehouse and operational support required

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 with some flexibility for the right experience
