About the Role

  • Design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure including Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory and networking.
  • Develop hybrid solutions integrating on-premises systems with Microsoft Azure.
  • Use infrastructure-as-code tools such as PowerShell and Terraform and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance, availability and resilience and manage backups and disaster recovery.
  • Implement security controls and ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CAF.
  • Produce documentation, runbooks and training materials and provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable and innovative IT services.

Requirements:

  • Experience in IT infrastructure engineering, hybrid cloud and Azure environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with virtualisation, networking and Windows Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of security, compliance and operational best practice.
