As a Senior IT technician, you’ll help support our systems we use in our offices, schools and children’s homes. They include; in-house computer systems, wireless infrastructure, switches, routers, desktops, and relevant peripherals. You’ll install all equipment and keep it well maintained, and when problems arise will be there to troubleshoot and diagnose. You’ll also support our state of the art data center and maintain connectivity, and with the help of our our dedicated support team, keep everything up and running across the Witherslack Group. In our busy IT environment, you will support and develop systems, work on projects, support sites across the group with IT issues as well as working on new site developments.
There will be travel to other sites around the Group, as well as supporting them remotely where possible. Collaborating with other members of the IT team in different locations will enable you to progress and develop your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

About You:
5+ years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure or Security Engineering role
Strong knowledge of: Windows Server /Active Directory / DNS / DHCP
Understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, switching, routing)
Experience supporting security controls and endpoint protection
Strong troubleshooting and incident handling skills
Familiarity with ISO 27001 or security audit processes
Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Security or ITIL

Based within our clients’ Technical Operations team, you will support and coordinate the delivery of infrastructure initiatives across our global environment. These projects span Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, networking, and modern endpoint management platforms.
