The Role
We are looking for an Evening Building & Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance tasks. This is a broad role overseeing all general maintenance tasks where you will use your proactivity and problem-solving skills to ensure The Roof Gardens is kept impeccably! Please note this is a part time evening role from Thursday to Saturday, with a latest finish time of 2am/3am. Some flexibility would be required to cover holidays within the team, if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive repairs and preventative maintenance across the club, including repairs, in accordance with all legislative requirements.
  • Plan and prioritise maintenance tasks, including reactive repairs and planned maintenance schedules.
  • Logging and reporting any maintenance issues through Pronett and escalating to the Head of Facilities where appropriate.
  • Conducting audits and checks to maintain license compliance and ensure all system, including HVAC, fire alarms and gas systems, are working in line with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the wider teams across The Roof Gardens to ensure all tasks are documented and completed at appropriate times.

About you

  • Proven experience in similar Building Maintenance role – Including electrical, mechanical, drainage, gas, decorating and carpentry.
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, extraction systems and fire alarms is required.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety legislation regulation and risk assessment processes.
  • You will be a friendly face with a characterful demeanour and take pleasure in supporting your colleagues.
  • Experience within a luxury hospitality environment is desirable.

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (Environments) to lead the design, reliability, and evolution of our software-driven engineering environments within a regulated financial services organisation.

This role focuses on building and operating scalable, secure, and automated environments that enable product engineering teams to deliver safely and quickly. What you’ll be doing

About you

  • Strong engineering leadership experience with a software or platform-first mindset, ideally in regulated or complex environments.
  • Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams.
  • Hands-on familiarity with on premise private cloud and public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and tools such as Terraform and Puppet.
  • Experience delivering platform modernisation and technical debt reduction programmes at scale.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, release management, and deployment strategies in regulated environments.
  • Ability to engage deeply with engineers on system design, reliability, and architectural trade-offs.
  • Experience embedding security, compliance, and operational controls into software platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for risk, compliance, and senior leadership audiences.

The interview process for this role is two stages including technical competency-based questions and a task.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.

THE ROLE:
The Site Supervisor will act as the sole resident engineer and first point of contact for the customer on-site, ensuring that fleet performance standards and service levels are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on role combining maintenance, customer service, reporting, and site responsibility, requiring strong electrical knowledge, autonomy, and excellent communication skills.

The site consists of:

  • 9 Reach Trucks
  • 20-30 Powered Pallet Trucks (PPTs
  • A small number of Under Pallet Carriers (UPCs)
  • Some automation on site

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of a resident site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as first point of contact for the customer on site

Perform preventative maintenance on materials handling and ancillary equipment

Diagnose, repair, and service equipment efficiently

Complete accurate service reports and time sheets

Manage and control on-site parts stock

Maintain strong customer relationships and meet contractual service levels
