The Role

A well-established product tech company have started on their DevOps journey and are expanding with an additional hire.
This isn’t brand new - there is a small DevOps function with a built out environment, however they’re looking to rapidly scale it up to support their software development and infrastructure operations teams.
Being a senior part of the team will open up career progression opportunities into leadership and architecture roles over time.
The product infrastructure sits in an AWS cloud environment, with a Microsoft infrastructure stack (Windows Server, SQL and some IIS). There is a little bit of infrastructure in Azure, however, the main DevOps and automation focus will be in AWS - ECS, Docker, Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Nagios, Linux.
This role will heavily lean towards the infrastructure side of DevOps with a focus on managing and automating the infrastructure platform and monitoring that which the development code runs on.
There’s a big push to automation so much more so there’s an opportunity to contribute to the design of this.
There are some legacy infrastructure on site, so there will be an ad hoc requirement to visit the Portsmouth office on occasion - quite ad hoc.
