This role leads that transformation—deciding where to take ownership stakes in suppliers, structure JV manufacturing partnerships, and determine exit, partnership, or reinvestment paths for assets that are no longer strategic.

You’ll work across the full value chain—from raw materials to blending, packaging, and distribution—with direct accountability for transactions expected to deliver over $100M in incremental value by 2030.

This is a hands-on dealmaking role with real authority: originating opportunities, structuring equity positions, and negotiating agreements with C-suite counterparties at suppliers, competitors, and industrial partners across Europe, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa.

In this role You will:

Define and implement regional M&A and partnership strategy aligned with Castrol and bp objectives—identifying where equity stakes, joint ventures, tolling, or divestments create the most value
Originate, structure, and negotiate joint ventures, equity investments, and strategic manufacturing partnerships across the supply chain
Lead asset portfolio decisions, determining the optimal path for plants and supplier relationships that no longer fit the strategic direction
Build, defend, and secure approval for investment-grade capital allocation cases (DCF, IRR, NPV, scenario analysis)
Engage and negotiate with C-suite and senior executives at startups, suppliers, competitors, and large industrial partners
Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform investment, partnership, and asset strategy
Oversee post-transaction partnership performance, adapting governance and deal structures to improve long-term value

What You will need to be successful:

Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
Substantial years in M&A, corporate development, strategic partnerships, or joint ventures—ideally within manufacturing, industrial, chemicals, or energy sectors
Consistent track record structuring and closing equity investments, JVs, or sophisticated commercial transactions with measurable impact
Strong financial modeling capability (DCF, IRR, NPV) and experience building investment-committee-ready cases
Executive presence with the ability to influence and negotiate at C-suite level
Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving outcomes without a predefined playbook

You’ll manage all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out and providing direction to workforce and leading Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.

Senior Structural Engineer

Working within a team of engineers and technicians and under the supervision of the Project Owner, the Senior Engineer will lead and support technically on a range of projects while acting as Project Manager, supporting the successful delivery of technically challenging designs. The role suits a Senior Engineer with strong technical knowledge across low rise traditional structures and medium rise RC frames, working towards Chartered membership.

Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview

Lead and support technical delivery across a range of building structures projects
Act as Project Manager on assigned schemes, managing scope, programme and deliverables
Undertake complex structural calculations and design proofs from concept through construction
Develop analytical design models using relevant software and interpret outputs
Prepare and collate calculation files and technical documentation for submissions and reviews
Check and review designs and drawings, including self-checking before independent checking
Coordinate with architects, MEP, surveyors, utilities and specialist subcontractors
Attend meetings and site visits, carry out investigations where required and issue site reports
Respond to RFIs and design queries accurately and promptly

Role Title: Lead Project Manager

Location: Inchinnan Sites

Reports to: Operations Manager

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various sites. As part of the role the Lead Project Manager will ensure that the projects are delivered to meet JLL and the clients standards in regard to health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. You must be qualified in a related trade, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing etc.

Lead Project Manager Responsibilities:

* You will have responsibility for the execution of a portfolio of projects with potential values between £50k to £15m, across various sites in Derby.

* You will provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promoting behavioural safety improvements and ensuring mandatory reporting of KPI’s, Good Catches/Near Misses (GC/NM), accidents and incidents are carried out in line with procedures. Conduct safety audits and report to management.

* At all times, you will be the first point of contact for the Project Managers running the projects, ensuring they have the correct level construction information, labour, material provision, sub-contract resource and support to allow the projects to be delivered to the highest standard.

* Set and monitor objectives for direct reports. Mentor, coach and where required deliver performance management in line with company procedures.

* Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the projects. Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.

* Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company’s reputation at project level.

* Ensure that accurate records of works completed, and expenditure are kept and updated by the Project Management team. Monitoring and authorisation of time sheets and expenses for area team.

* Identify, build, lead and develop new Project Teams for new workstreams. Liaising with Project Managers to agree suitable resource levels.

* Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced. Support project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance.

* Liaise with Project Managers to ensure that the projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan. Seek ongoing feedback throughout delivery to ensure highest quality of standard.

* Lead your team to deliver the company’s “management expectations” successfully across all key areas of the project, managing and supporting the individuals and team that are under your control to meet and exceed business performance targets.

* To enhance the strength of contract delivery to ensure highest standards of quality are maintained in accordance with programme delivery - complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and client Standards.

* Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free.

* Ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Commercial Manager in the Insight & Improvement Team, you will lead the delivery of commercial insights, data and intelligence, shareholder assurance, issue resolution and cost‑verification across all Supply Chain programmes. You’ll provide high‑quality analysis and reporting to support strategic decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you’ll work closely with Heads of Commercial and partners such as Nuclear Operations, using strong stakeholder management and leadership to drive effective reporting rhythms and shape successful outcomes. You’ll interrogate data to deliver insights across the full contract lifecycle.

You’ll oversee contract administration through CEMAR, manage key commercial relationships and ensure alignment with NNB procedures. Your focus will be maximising contract performance and minimising commercial risk through meaningful data. Using advanced dashboards and analytical tools, you’ll enhance reporting capability and add value across HPC commercial teams.

Success in this role requires delivering critical business intelligence and influencing peers to support programme-wide performance.

This is a hybrid role based at #AztecWest with some flexibility to work from home – though you’ll be expected in the office two/three days a week.

Strong experience with NEC/FIDIC contracts in the power construction sector, with solid understanding of UK contract law.
Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical ability, commercial acumen and a focus on continuous improvement.
Professionally accredited (RICS/CIPS or equivalent) with proven ability to deliver board‑level insight and reporting.
Highly proficient with PowerBI, CEMAR, SAP and core MS Office tools, with strong attention to detail and results focus.
Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, effective across multidisciplinary teams with strong communication and presentation capability.
Innovative problem‑solver with experience in supply chain analytics, issue resolution and ideally degree‑level education in a relevant discipline.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead strategic insight generation and performance reporting, owning monthly, quarterly and annual Supply Chain reporting.
Oversee the full monthly reporting cycle, including the GenCo Commercial Update and Project Review Report.
Act as custodian of HPC commercial data, always ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Drive continuous improvement of BAU reporting and develop new insight reports (e.g., CEMAR communications, change events, early warnings).
Manage and enhance PowerBI dashboards, increasing automation and integrating live data sources.
Own CEMAR data quality and relationships, ensuring validity and effective system use.
Collaborate with Project Services, Project Controls and Finance on integrated reporting and data management, contributing to Master Data Management initiatives.
Lead and develop team members while managing data‑related risks and embedding lessons learned.
