A minimum 2:2 BSc (Hons) in Geology, Civil Engineering or related subject
1-2 years previous practical ground investigation or relevant experience, post-graduation

Experience with industry related software packages such as Holebase / Gint / Pebble Geo
IT competent in Microsoft packages, and the ability to work independently or in a team
Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure

This role will act as the primary technical interface between the customer, project teams, and engineering disciplines, ensuring engineering activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered in line with operational requirements, regulatory obligations, and safety standards. TheMechanicalEngineering Lead will manage engineering resources and providetechnical leadershipacross projects supporting asset lifecycle activities, including modification,infrastructure upgrades, maintenance support, and new capability delivery. Key Responsibilities: Ensure engineering activities are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, regulatory requirements, and company governance processes. Support engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, andoperational support. Review and approve technical documentation prior to customer submission, ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and safety considerations are addressed. Supportconfiguration managementactivities, ensuring engineering documentation, drawings, and system records are maintained and controlled. Provide technical oversight to facility modifications,infrastructure upgrades, and asset lifecycle management activities. Liaise with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders to ensure integration across engineering disciplines. Support planning,risk management, and progress reporting activities associated with engineering delivery. Contribute to Authorisation Group meetings and other governance forums as required. Support installation, commissioning, and testing activities where required to ensure engineering solutions are successfully implemented. Work Experience Qualifications & Experience Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years of engineering experience within a highly regulated or safety-critical industry. Demonstrable experience leading engineering teams or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities. Experience delivering engineering solutions across the full asset lifecycle including design, modification, maintenance, andoperational support. Strong understanding ofengineering governance, technical assurance, andconfiguration management. Experience engaging directly with customers and stakeholders in a technical delivery environment. Desirable Attributes: Strong communication andleadership skillswith the ability to coordinate engineering teams and manage stakeholder relationships. Understanding of the nuclear industry and/or other safety critical environments. Experience supporting infrastructure or facility-based engineering projects. Knowledge ofmechanical, electrical, or process systems associated with industrial facilities. Experience working within defence or MoD environments supporting asset lifecycle management.
