JOB SPECIFICATION: Electrical Engineer, Electronic Service Engineer : Instrumentation, PLC Control and Automation Systems - Marine Industry

This is a field based Electronic / Electrical Service Engineer vacancy for a very well established and respected specialist in instrumentation, PLC control and automation systems to the marine industry.

This role will be split between (80%) scheduled electrical / electronic installation, commissioning and refit projects - typically staying away for 10-14 days at sites across the UK - but with a heavy focus on customers around Falmouth / Devonport.

The remainder (20%) will be reactionary fault finding and repair (1-2 day trips) on first and third party instrumentation, PLC controls and automation equipment or machinery.

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / HVAC Engineer will provide service, maintenance & installation of Air Conditioning systems and other associated products at customer sites covering Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / HVAC Engineer must hold a valid F-Gas qualification with experience working on HVAC systems or similar relatable products.

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / HVAC Engineer Role

  • To provide service, maintenance & installation of Air Conditioning systems and other associated products at customer sites.
  • Work on a variety of systems including single split, multi split, heat recovery, and VRF systems and commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics and fault finding on HVAC equipment including Air Conditioning Units and refrigeration products.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • This is a field-based role covering Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / HVAC Engineer Role

  • Proven experience within the HVAC industry, ideally working with Air Conditioning units and refrigeration products
  • Must hold a valid F-Gas qualification.
  • Willingness to cover Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of complex systems and ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Full driving licence is required.
