Electrical Design experience with bespoke safety critical products
Project or Technical Co-ordinator experience in a service / engineering or manufacturing environment.
Electrical controls and instrumentation design experience, and an understanding of electrical design principles.
A good understanding of a design process from scoping to delivery.
Must have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent level of continuous professional development and experience.
Ideally have experience of design work related to a submarine NSRP.

38 hour working week over 3.5 days (Shift pattern is detailed below)

Install, maintain, and commission both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
Diagnose and repair faults on fire detection and alarm systems.
Perform routine servicing, inspections, and testing in line with BS5839 standards.
Complete accurate service reports and maintain all necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with clients and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
Person Specification:
Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including addressable platforms such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, and Morley.
Thorough understanding of BS5839 and related standards.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Desirable:
FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certification.
Experience with emergency lighting systems.
Familiarity with additional life safety systems such as access control and CCTV.
