Job Description

A SAP Material Master Specialist isresponsible for creating, maintaining, and governing material master records within SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems, ensuring data accuracy across Basic Data, Purchasing, MRP, and Accounting views. They ensure high-quality, standardised data to support procurement, inventory, and production, often managing data via SAP MDG or mass upload tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Creation & Maintenance:Create, extend, and update material master records, ensuring compliance with company nomenclature standards.
  • Data Integrity & Governance:Monitor data accuracy across all views (e.g., General, Purchasing, MRP, Costing, Sales) and ensure proper classification.
  • System Operations:Perform mass uploads/updates (via Excel), manage material classifications, units of measure, and valuation data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with Procurement, Finance, and Production teams to update bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and material pricing.
  • Data Troubleshooting:Resolve data-related issues, such as errors in purchase orders or material availability.

Role Overview
