We expect projects to be delivered on time, to specification and on or under budget. The engineer should, with training on our protocols and processes, have the skills necessary to drive their projects and know the push-pull required to make it happen.
The project engineer responsibilities include:
* Managing & driving the project timeline
* Working with the customer to establish working line layout and agreeing KPI’s, work with the customer standards
* Conducting detailed & effective site surveys
* Owning and driving the equipment layouts & design approval process
* Delivering all necessary reporting & documentation to the customer, driving pushpull requirements
* Internal project progress reporting, following our project protocol
* Selecting & sourcing equipment from our own range of products and our partner companies
* Generate P&ID’s & PFD’s to interface with system integrators

* Arranging shipping of equipment in concert with our Logistics Team
Leading to on-site works from start of installation to hand-over to client including site supervision of all elements of installation, commissioning & training, working closely with key contractors for both mechanical and electrical build. These teams may be provided by our client or local teams provided by the customer. Hands-on approach to commissioning, engineer/operator training and managing closure of snagging lists.
The expectation is to leave site with a fully-commissioned, snag free, KPI signed-off project.
On larger projects you may be nominated “project lead” whereby you would be leading a small team of engineers plus health and safety manager on site working under CDM regulations. You may also be performing a project management function leading other OEMs to deliver the overall project.
Candidates can expect a typical split of approximately 75% office-based activities and 25% on-site, although this split can vary depending on the scale and nature of project allocations made. The number of project allocations depends on the size & scope of each. Site involvement can vary from project to project but might involve a series of 1-2 day site meetings, then a period of 12 hour days 7 days/week; some projects involving 2-3 week installation period, others could be up to 9 weeks with suitable breaks.
