We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer (Civils) to join a high-performing Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting a major UK energy client across its nuclear fleet.
This is a key role within a diverse and expanding project and engineering portfolio spanning multiple UK sites. You will be given the opportunity to work alongside experienced project engineering professionals, with ongoing mentoring, training, and clear development pathways into more complex and senior project leadership roles.
The position will be based primarily at Sizewell B Power Station, working as part of a large, client-led team. While some flexible working may be available, the role is predominantly site-based.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications

Support contractor selection processes and contract placement activities
Conduct technical reviews of contractor documentation, drawings, and project options

The Opportunity
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a key role within the Product Engineering function, acting as the technical focal point for resolving complex issues across design, assembly, test, sustainment, and new product introduction.
The role is central to the successful introduction of new products into production, continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, and the assessment of in-service hardware returning from the field.
You will lead product and process changes, analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities, and ensure processes remain capable, controlled, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.

The Role:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing effective technical support and guidance on multiple precision engineering projects simultaneously.
Your duties will include: -
Candidate:
The Project Engineer will have at least 3 years project engineer or manufacturing engineer experience in a precision engineering environment.
You will be familiar with and manufacture of parts / components for industries such as MOD, Nuclear, Marine, Aerospace, Oil & gas sectors.
You will have excellent Project Engineer skills and you’ll be competent in the use of ERP/MRP systems and you will have HNC/HND in mechanical engineering and you will have a CNC engineering background.
AutoCAD and design engineering skills will be advantageous.
