A specialist ROV company is seeking a Technical Support Engineer with a strong focus on quotations, tendering and technical coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the centre of commercial activity, reviewing technical enquiries, developing accurate costings, and producing high quality proposals that support successful project delivery.
Role Overview
The position is heavily centred on managing incoming enquiries, interpreting ROV requirements, and preparing detailed quotations for both sales and rental equipment. You will work closely with engineering, projects and operations to gather the information needed to build competitive proposals, ensure accurate pricing, and support the smooth delivery of ongoing work scopes.
Alongside quotation development, you will help coordinate project documentation, supplier engagement, equipment preparation and operational tracking, ensuring all commercial and technical information is complete, accurate and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Review incoming RFQs and technical information to understand scope, requirements and commercial considerations.
Work with engineering and project teams to gather technical details needed for supplier pricing.
Identify suitable suppliers and manage the return of third party quotations.
Build detailed project costings by combining supplier pricing with internal resource and equipment requirements.
Prepare and submit final quotations for standard products across both sales and rental.
Maintain quotation and project registers, ensuring documentation, certification and records are accurate and up to date.
Attend operational and client meetings to gather technical, commercial and logistical information for tenders.
Review supporting documentation prior to equipment dispatch, including testing and certification.
Support HSEQ activities in line with company standards.
Create technical work packs for equipment builds, maintenance and mobilisation.
Liaise with workshop teams to produce maintenance reports and supporting documentation.
Assist with the creation of manuals, testing procedures and other technical documents.
Support the coordination and tracking of offshore operations.
Contribute to product development, special projects and service delivery improvements.
Skills & Experience
Strong technical background within remote intervention, subsea, or related engineering environments.
Proven experience preparing quotations, tenders or technical proposals.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and 3D models.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator able to work effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
Comfortable balancing technical understanding with fast paced administrative and commercial tasks.
