An internationally trusted source of medical news and education to the healthcare professional community, seeks a CTO to guide them through a major digital transformation, including a full ground-up redesign/redevelopment of their core platforms and wider product ecosystem. With the existing platform developed predominantly in PHP and WordPress, my client is seeking to adopt a more modern tech stack that will provide greater stability, scalability, resilience and will allow them to embrace AI and provide new features and enhanced functionality. The Role The CTO will bridge strategy and execution, as they translate business vision and product requirements into a clear technical strategy. The CTO will then own the end-to-end digital roadmap for the new digital platform, and will advise on platform architecture, tooling and technology, before then leading and line-managing the development team through the greenfield rebuild of the platform. This is a "sleeves rolled up" CTO role and would suit a candidate with senior engineering leadership experience (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, Tech Lead, Principal Engineer etc.) looking to architect and own a major platform rebuild in a role that will provide real influence over product direction and company growth.
