  • Work with the Build & Commercial Departments to ensure a timely sign-off/handover for roads, sewers, pump stations, play areas and open spaces on historic and new developments.
  • Whenever possible, attend sites during infrastructure works/activities and identify/record issues, monitor quality and provide positive feedback or raise concerns with the build team and/or contractors.

A growing CNC machinery company with good machinery sales and a widening installed base of machines has asked Hartland Recruitment to search for anextra SERVICE ENGINEERto join the team. You'll have maintenance engineering or service engineer experience of repairing, maintaining and installing CNC Machine Tools, as these roles involve supporting and maintaining existing installations on customer sites across the UK, together with commissioning new precision CNC cutting, milling, handling and surface finishing multi-axis machines. Specific materials and applications training can be given to add to your existing CNC machine tool mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering skills. Ideal locations for the newService Engineerwould be: Midlands, or Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire. REWARDS Your £40K basic salary will be added to by overtime paid after 40 hours, including travelling time. Across the last 5 years, the engineers have all earned an extra £16000 from Overtime and extra from Bonuses. Join our Engineering team in Aylesbury and play a key role in keeping our large-scale, world-class operations running safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Youll be joining a highly skilled engineering function where no two days are the same. Were continually investing in our utilities infrastructure, so youll have the chance to work on complex systems and develop your technical capability in a supportive team environment.

How you will make an impact

As a maintenance engineer at our Aylesbury Energy Centre, you will ensure that essential utilities and services operate safely, reliably, and to optimum performance across the site. Working a 12-hour Panama-style shift pattern (rotating days and nights), you will respond to both planned and reactive engineering needs, supporting continuous improvement in a high-performing production environment.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Maintaining site utilities in line with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
  • Responding to breakdowns and equipment failures across systems such as boilers, refrigeration, wastewater treatment, DAF plant, HVAC, and water systems
  • Completing equipment condition assessments and supporting OEMs during servicing
  • Identifying and delivering improvements that enhance reliability and operational efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with QEHS requirements including Legionella, fire systems, PSSR and LOTO

You will be part of the Engineering team supporting the sites Energy Centre and wider utilities operations.

What will make you successful

You bring solid engineering foundations, a proactive mindset, and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Your natural curiosity and drive for improvement will help you grow quickly in the team.

Youll bring a solid engineering foundation, demonstrated through a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification. Alongside this, you will have experience working in both reactive and planned maintenance within a regulated or industrial environment. Your ability to solve problems with resilience, while working collaboratively as part of a team, will help you thrive in our fast-paced setting.

Experience with CHP or wastewater systems is beneficial, though not essential. Most importantly, youll have a genuine passion for developing your skills with access to extensive internal and external training to support your growth.
