Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer (Printer Technician) to maintain, repair, and provide technical support for managed print equipment across our client sites. You will ensure all devices are serviced DS’s technical standards and manufacturer specifications, while adhering to all company and client working practices - including strict health and safety requirements.
Security clearance, or a willingness to undergo clearance checks, is required for this role.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Service Engineer include:
Service Delivery: Provide a reliable, courteous and efficient engineering service to the client at all times
System Maintenance: Carry out day-to-day care, maintenance and repair of large-scale digital CCTV and access control systems
Control Room Support: Maintain and support complex control room environments and monitor wall solutions
Perimeter Systems: Support and maintain perimeter detection and intruder detection systems
Planned Preventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled PPM tasks in line with service agreements
Fault Finding & Repairs: Diagnose issues, undertake on-site repairs and ensure systems are restored promptly

Day to day
You ll support Microsoft 365 environments, servers and desktops, assist with Azure and wider Microsoft cloud technologies, and troubleshoot networking issues across DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP. You ll work across VMware and Hyper-V, manage tickets within SLA, liaise with third parties and see issues through to resolution.
Who we are looking for
You ll have 2 3 years MSP experience and be operating at strong 1st or 2nd Line level. Solid Microsoft 365 knowledge is essential, alongside good infrastructure fundamentals and the confidence to work independently on-site.
You ll need to be friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy the customer-facing side of the role. This suits someone who likes being out in the field, building rapport with school staff and becoming a trusted IT contact.
A full UK driving licence is required and an Enhanced DBS will be arranged.

You will be an experienced, proactive and customer-focused IT Support Officer to provide high-quality technical assistance across a busy and collaborative office environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in resolving IT issues, supporting end users, and maintaining IT and audio-visual equipment. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of IT systems.
