Were looking for a Senior Engineer - Materials & Processes with a strong non-metallic materials engineering background, to join our materials and test team to support the production and development of next generation composite aero structures, ice protection and transparency products. The role will be based in the Materials, Coatings and Test (MCT) team within the wider Engineering and Technology department and report to the Functional Team Leader.
The role as a Senior Engineer - Materials & Processes will support the business and engineering team, with non polymer materials science and processing knowledge and guidance. The role will provide a deep understanding of the interactions between processing parameters and material properties of Acrylics, Polycarbonates and adhesives, being able to guide new technology test plans and current production deviations.
There will be occasional travel, national and international, required to support customer visits and other GKN sites. You will also support the work of the business to establish safe working practices and necessary level of documentation. You will be involved with projects from the planning / assembly / instrumentation / commissioning phase though to successfully performing and reporting the test. You will also be responsible for providing specialist support to existing programmes within your field of expertise, helping to resolve manufacturing issues and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Preparing and guiding tests/test plans; critical and systematic interpretation and analysis of test data, applying the outcome of tests for substantiation of specification changes.
Troubleshooting and production support on Materials Issues (e.g. Composites, polymers, bonding, surface treatments).

They are now looking for a customer-focussed, confident and personable Helpdesk Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed an IT apprenticeship or has 1 2 years experience in a helpdesk or IT support role within a similar organisation (MSP / IT Managed Services Provider) and is keen to develop their career within a supportive organisation.
This is a client-facing position, where you ll act as the first point of contact for clients. While technical knowledge is important, your communication skills, professionalism and ability to build rapport will be absolutely key to your success.

We are looking for an Orchestration Software Engineer to help build and evolve a cutting-edge Infrastructure Automation platform supporting a major UK Defence programme.
You’ll be part of the Infrastructure Automation Engineering Service, designing and delivering robust, scalable automation solutions across complex enterprise environments. Translation: you’ll turn messy, manual, legacy build processes into slick, repeatable, automated deployments. And yes, some of it will fight back.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing, developing, and validating infrastructure automation components for the NSoIT(D) platform.
Writing production-grade automation using:
Reverse-engineering existing applications and manual build processes into fully automated, zero-touch deployments.
Building automation for server, network, and storage platforms across multiple vendors.
Creating high-quality technical documentation and design artefacts.
Supporting system testing and resolving live service issues.
Working in an Agile delivery environment using JIRA and Confluence.
Collaborating closely with infrastructure, service management, and security teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
You’ll need at least 12 months’ hands-on experience (within the last 3 years) in most of the following:

Strong experience with advanced Python & PowerShell features (Workflows, DSC, Bare Metal Deployment).
At least one current professional certification, such as:
