**Senior C#/Angular Full Stack Developer - Commodities/Trading sought by leading financial services organisation based in West London.
Outside IR35 - 3 days a week on site**
SUMMARY
This role will suit a full-stack developer, with a broad, yet modern skill set and a proven track record, who ideally has some knowledge and experience of the commodity or financial trading sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Full stack developer with around 8-10 years development experience, working in a agile development team to deliver robust enterprise-wide solutions utilising industry standard practices
Design, develop, enhance and maintain applications using agreed coding standards and quality targets.
Ensure quality via code reviews and thorough unit testing.
Liaise with immediate scrum team, other scrum/project teams, line manager and development lead to ensure accurate and complete delivery.
Contribute to the development and implementation of software development best practices within the organisation.
Writing clean and efficient code using relevant programming languages to implement the designed features and functionality.
Key Competencies & Skills:
Knowledge of oil, wet bulk or energy trading and risk management business
Software Development Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development practices and project management tools
Communication Skills: Effective communication to collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and explain technical concepts
Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify creative solutions
Experience and expertise with the following technical stack
Angular 13+ with DevExtreme UI library desirable
Playwright, ReadyAPI and Specflow.
Jira, Github, Confluenc
Nice to have -
C# and .NET6+
Rest API’s and Microservice architecture
SQL Server Database, NHibernate or Entity Framework
Demonstrate expertise of:
Building modern-web applications
Modern UI design principles. i.e. Able to take initial design direction and interpret those guidelines to finalise the design through to a solution
Restful API Design and development fundamentals
Good SQL knowledge
Test case preparation and execution
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years’ experience designing and developing applications both individually and as part of a team
Familiarity with energy or financial trading environment
Strong inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to technical problems
Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
Educated to Degree-level (or equivalent), as a minimum requirement
