Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Technical SME to provide expert technical leadership and operational support across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You’ll work closely with architecture, operations, security, and business teams to ensure the effective implementation, optimisation, and ongoing management of core M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, and the wider M365 security and compliance stack.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting a large-scale enterprise environment and acting as a senior escalation point for complex issues.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
* 8–10 years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments.
* Strong expertise across: Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, M365 Security & Compliance (Purview/Defender).
* Proficient in PowerShell and automation.
* Solid SMTP, mail flow, and EOP troubleshooting skills (spam/virus filtering, connectors, rules).
* Good understanding of DNS, firewalls, proxies, ports, and other M365-related network fundamentals.
* Experience with SharePoint Admin and Power BI Admin.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Graph / APIs / Power Platform (desirable).
* Acts as 3rd‑line SME escalation for complex M365 issues.
* Skilled in configuration, monitoring, tuning, and operational support of M365 services.
* Able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
* Provides best‑practice guidance, roadmap insights, and service improvements.
* Experienced in managing major incidents, escalations, and ITIL processes (especially Problem & Change Management).

The role
As an OT Technician you will support the delivery of the Alarm Optimisation Project by implementing configuration changes on the Regional SCADA Telemetry System that improve the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of operational alarms and telemetry signals across sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment works. About the Role
As a Server Engineer the primary focus of this role will be to provide 3rd line operational support within our IT - Platforms Infrastructure Team. You will manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of backend IT systems, as well as implementing new technologies and systems. You will work in a dynamic environment, handling both Business as Usual ( BAU ) and project-based tasks.
This role reports to the Infrastructure Team Leader. Hours of work are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with requirements to work the On Call rota on a rotating basis. Additional overtime outside core hours and at weekends for system maintenance and other out of hours work will be required.

Lead complex solution and workflow designs, ensuring usability, maintainability, and adherence to best practice.Review and validate development outputs, ensuring alignment to design principles and long-term sustainability.
Shape the platform s environment strategy, including version upgrades, performance optimisation, and health monitoring.
Platform Strategy Roadmap
Provide strategic input into licensing, roadmap planning, security posture, and the future evolution of the platform.
Work closely with the Product Owner, Technical Lead, and BA community to design upcoming releases and platform enhancements.
Data, Integrations Workflow OrchestrationDefine ServiceNow data design, CMDB modelling, and governance approaches.
