Overview

Join the forefront of innovation as an IT Cloud & Platform Network Engineer where you’ll be a key player in implementing highly scalable, secure, and cutting-edge, cloud-based solutions. This is a key opportunity for an Experienced Network Analyst to assist in the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure on Azure. The role will be reporting to the IT Network Lead and IT Infrastructure Services Manager.

The IT Infrastructure Services team is made up of 16 members of staff spread across the firm’s UK offices. As part of an agile and dynamic team, you’ll collaborate with product owners, developers, key stakeholders, and data engineers. Your creativity and technical prowess will drive the design, automation, and continuous improvement of our platforms, processes and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the firm’s network infrastructure on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Deploy and create scalable cloud solutions, collaborating closely with development teams to architect and implement reliable and scalable cloud solutions using Azure services
  • Designing Cloud Architecture: Planning and developing cloud structures that meet organisation strategies, focusing on scalability, performance and security
  • Create and maintain solution documentation for cloud network security
  • Manage and maintain the firm’s vulnerability management solutions and remediate vulnerabilities in line with the firm’s policies.
  • Ensure that all infrastructure is patched in line with the firm’s patching policy and scheduling of changes.
  • Troubleshoot and fix Server edge connect related issues, recording all troubleshooting steps and information in the IT Service Management tool.
  • Providing advanced technical support to other department teams
  • Ensure all systems and services are proactively monitored using the tools utilised by the IT Department.
  • Liaise with vendors and external partners
  • Ensure that all and services have adequate BCDR protection in place.
  • Ensure that all configurations are backed up in line with the firm’s backup policy.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven extensive knowledge of Azure adhering to best practices in Azure security.
  • Background in Infrastructure/Network Administration/Dev Ops
  • Proficiency coding languages
  • Extensive proven working experience of maintaining vulnerability management solutions and remediating system vulnerabilities.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience with Zero Trust Networking Principles
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure, AWS and other cloud computing technologies.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure, as well as part of a wider team.
  • Effective time management
  • Proven knowledge of Managing and maintaining cybersecurity products.
