This is what we need you to do….
Responsibilities: * Read schematic drawings * With minimal supervision investigate rolling stock faults found within the test process * Assist the engineering process where necessary * Work within a high voltage environment * Download and process train diagnostic data, undertake fault finding to an advanced level * Test all types of on train systems * Produce complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation * If required deputise for test team leader * Keep test paperwork up to date, including test sheets and fault logs * Liaise with production departments when necessary * Attend off site railway depots to support our customers requirement

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to help shape and deliver the National Trust’s mitigation of impacts arising from the construction of Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station. We want a great communicator with versatile project management skills who can deliver successful outcomes across a range of landscape, wildlife, external partner and visitor focussed work.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

You’ll be part of the Trust’s internal Specialist Delivery Team: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen.
Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Dunwich. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll seek to mitigate impacts on people, land and nature arising from visitor pressure and displacement as a consequence of Sizewell C construction . You’ll work with the property team to coordinate surveying, monitoring, and practical habitat and species management, delivering landscape and infrastructure projects to focus visitors away from views impacted by construction as well as helping property staff enhance our visitor programme responding to the needs of our audience through delegated project workstreams.
You’ll also work with the external stakeholders and submit reports to the funders. The success of the role requires effective engagement with Sizewell C and key partners, representing the organisation in external forums including maintaining awareness of opportunities to apply for a share of £20m of funds linked to the development. You’ll help keep track of deadlines, manage risk, and deliver at pace, within budget and in line with requirements of funders/investors. You’ll take responsibility for ensuring you maintain systems and records in accordance with the National Trust Project Management Framework.

Job Title: Head of IT
Location: Worcestershire across 3 sites (predominantly office based with flexibility for remote working of 1 day per week)
Reports To: Partner, Head of Finance and Operations

Role Purpose
The Head of IT has full accountability for the firm’s information technology environment, ensuring it is secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to the firm’s strategic and regulatory objectives.
The role will also be responsible for driving the thoughtful and appropriate adoption of AI and automation, ensuring these technologies are used safely, ethically and pragmatically to enhance efficiency, decision making and client service.
This is a senior leadership role with clear ownership of the end to end IT estate, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data and third party services. The role is responsible not only for operational stability, but for shaping and delivering the firm’s technology roadmap so that technology actively supports business growth, efficiency and risk management.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Head of IT will plan, prioritise and deliver technology initiatives using robust project management disciplines, ensuring change is well governed, outcomes focused and delivered with minimal disruption to the business.

While growth markets in the UK are currently limited, UAV technology is seeing significant expansion given global developments. No prior UAV experience is required for this Embedded Software Engineer role, though a genuine interest in the space will be a strong advantage

The Role

Programming knowledge in C, C++, or graphical or low code environments
Experience with ICT platforms such as Keysight or Teradyne, or flying probe systems such as Takaya or SPEA
Exposure to PLC based control systems, ideally using TIA Portal
Understanding of PUWER regulations and risk assessment processes
