If you’ve worked on large-scale industrial builds - power stations, water treatment works, pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, chemical plants, biomass, EFW or other regulated infrastructure - this is your opportunity to bring that experience onto a nuclear new build.

Located in West Somerset, HPC is delivering two EPR nuclear reactors and represents a once-in-a-generation infrastructure programme.

The scale is vast. The quality bar is higher. The scrutiny is relentless.

This is a project where documentation matters, standards matter, and decisions are never made casually in the field.

As Field Engineer - Electrical, you will:

  • Carry out construction surveillance across designated electrical works
  • Act in alignment with NEC Supervisor principles
  • Ensure works are installed in accordance with contract, design and approved Quality Control Plans

Essential:

  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Test
  • CSCS or SMSTS
  • HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (or relevant vocational experience)
  • Experience within large construction teams
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical installation
  • Proven experience producing accurate site diaries under NEC or similar contracts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge diplomatically

Highly Relevant Backgrounds:

We welcome candidates from:

  • Power Generation
  • Water & Wastewater Treatment
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Petrochemical & Chemical Plants
  • Biomass / Energy from Waste

If you understand LV/MV distribution, structured quality control, and working within CDM environments - you’ll translate well.

Desirable:

  • Experience installing or overseeing electrical plant installation
  • NEC or FIDIC contract awareness
  • EUSR / National Grid access
  • Use of electronic capture devices for inspections

Are you ready to be part of a project that’s reshaping the energy landscape of the UK? This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on the construction of Hinkley Point C. If you have the skills and experience to lead this challenging endeavour, we want to hear from you.
