This sub family is responsible for providing on-site consultation oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configurations and new system initiatives for all sites within area of responsibility. Advises on technical requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations. Provides guidance for the handling, installation and utilization of various systems and equipment. Duties also may include assisting in the development and ensuring adherence to area-wide procedural/policy changes.

LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

DevOps Lead required by rapidly growing software house to work in a highly impactful hands-on role taking responsibility for DevOps tools and processes across multiple development and platform teams.

• Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, NETGEAR, ZYXEL.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and network security tools.
• Strong background in Microsoft Azure and automation tools.
• Experience leading network projects and scripting for automation.

Desirable Experience

• Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Amazon AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) or project management (PRINCE2, APM).
• ITIL Foundation certification.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent (Essential).
• Full clean driving license (Essential).

We are keen to speak to people with strong Linux administration backgrounds to manage existing Linux based servers, both on-prem and cloud hosted, including management of the deployment of security patches, distribution upgrades and configuration management, installation/configuration/operation of the applications running on the servers.

You will be someone who is looking for an opportunity that gives you exposure to projects such as, building a virtualisation platform, how can solutions such as Kubernetes be used in a hybrid on-prem/public cloud environment and a role where Infrastructure as Code is the default go to (Ansible / Terraform).

Note: this role is part of the 24/ 7 on call rota, although call outs are rare this would be 1 in 4 and is renumerated separately.

Hiring for an SC Cleared DBA Oracle Support Engineer to provide database support across Oracle and SQL Server platforms within a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environment.

Responsibilities include:
Provide production support for Oracle (12c-19c) and MS SQL Server databases
Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, and GoldenGate environments
Monitor and manage databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager
Perform UNIX administration and basic KSH shell scripting
Operate within ITIL-aligned Change and Release Management processes
Support high-availability, business-critical systems
Participate in an Out of Hours support rota
