The Role
We are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineers to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is shift based on a 24/7 basis, so there may be the requirement for occasional attendance out of hours. As you will be working across both of our sites, travel will be required.
Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and services perform safely, effectively and efficiently in order to support our manufacturing and supply chain operations. You will also ensure our maintenance and engineering systems fully comply with all legal, regulatory, customer and company requirements.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance (both planned and reactive) of all assets at both sites
• Ensuring all machinery, equipment and tools are maintained for safe use to achieve performance targets and taken care of through effective asset care and maintenance programmes
• Work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid disruption
• Providing support in investigating and establishing causes for all breakdowns and damages
• Action any necessary repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised
• Ensuring the safe and efficient use of all materials used (including consumables, lubricants, chemicals etc)
• Ensuring use of correct methods, tools and procedures to achieve performance targets (including compliance with PTW’s, SOP’s, H&S, GMP standards etc)
• Maintenance of effective engineering systems (including KPI systems - CMMS, PM’s, shift-handover processes, DMR, safety reviews, audits, etc)
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all people on both sites
• Controlling and co-ordinating of third-party engineering activity
