About the Role
As Senior Regional IT Support Engineer you will play a central role in delivering technical support across our client’s UK and Ireland campuses. This position is key to ensuring students and staff can confidently rely on the technology services available to them, whether on-site or remotely.
You’ll be responsible for providing high quality 2nd line support, managing escalations, and ensuring their IT infrastructure operates smoothly and securely. This role covers the South East region (Brighton, London, and Essex), so you’ll need to be based within approximately an hour’s travel between London and Brighton. What You’ll Do:
Provide 2nd line support to staff and students, resolving user and infrastructure issues both remotely and on-site.
Act as an escalation point for 1st line issues, managing the 2nd line ticket queue and ensuring timely resolution in line with SLAs.
Carry out campus visits when remote support isn’t possible, delivering effective in-person support and fostering trust with users.
Manage IT assets within your region, including procurement, builds, deployments, and accurate record-keeping.
Document and monitor IT support activities through our client’s Helpdesk platform, keeping knowledge bases and systems up to date.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Deans, Heads of School, and Technology Managers, to maintain high service standards.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and cross-regional teams to resolve escalated issues and implement infrastructure changes.
Support projects and assist with on-campus responsibilities such as hardware handovers, asset management, and IT operations.
What You’ll Bring:

IT Support Engineer with strong experience in a 1st / 2nd line IT helpdesk or support role is required by a leading company in Chelmsford.
In this role, you will be the first line of support for IT issues across the firm, using your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve employee issues promptly and contribute to the team by providing an excellent IT support service.
Also, there is scope to learn a lot of new technologies, as you will join a small team and be exposed to a lot of 2nd line projects. They are a really nice company, have won lots of awards for employee engagement, and this is a great opportunity for somebody to advance their career.
Experience required:
18+ months of experience in a similar IT support role, working on 1st & 2nd line IT support
Microsoft 365 experience
Experience with MDM (e.g. Intune, Autopilot)
Experience supporting MS Office 365 & Windows 11
Excellent understanding of various systems and a passion for learning about new and upcoming technology and software
Any networking or VOIP experience would be a bonus
Ability to find solutions and assist staff at all levels
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver on deadlines
Enthusiastic, hardworking and a team player
Job Role Responsibilities:
IT Helpdesk & Desktop Support
Building and deploying laptop clones
Installing basic laptop components
Provide Microsoft Office 365 support
Escalate and manage more complex support tickets
Working on VOIP and Networking issues
Able to support users remotely and on-premises
Create user profiles
Roll out software centrally and manually
Offer user laptop health checks
Managing all tasks via the helpdesk system
Review ticket trends with the line manager
Support team and firm with ad-hoc IT tasks
This role is full-time onsite in Chelmsford. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Chelmsford and be willing to go into the office 5 days a week.

We’re recruiting a Senior IT Technician to provide onsite and remote technical support across multiple office locations across the central belt. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading Law Firm.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy, professional services environment where you’ll play a key part in keeping systems running smoothly, ensuring excellent customer service, and helping users remain productive.

The Role:
Providing in-person and remote technical support, ensuring a positive user experience.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and escalated technical issues.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and networking equipment.
Managing Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions.
Documenting incidents and resolutions clearly and accurately.
Travelling regularly to offices across Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling.
Requirement:
3+ years’ experience in a relevant IT support role
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
Hands-on experience with Windows environments and end-user support.
Experience with vSphere.
A solid understanding and experience with Citrix.
Qualification in an IT-related discipline (degree level preferred).
Full, clean UK driver’s licence.
Desirable
ITIL qualification or familiarity with ITIL practices.
Industry certifications in Microsoft or related technologies.
Experience working in the professional services industry.
