What will you be doing?
You’ll be managing of all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out and providing direction to workforce and leading Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications. You will be responsible for developing Site and Graduate Engineers.
Ensuring the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects, adhering to health and safety policy/ environmental policy and actively supporting the It Starts With Me (ISWM) culture that is an integral part of the M Group Highway’s working environment.
We’ll ask you to keep accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations and as-built information using AutoCAD.

You will be working one weekend in 5, which will give you the freedom and flexibility to choose which days you have off the following week to save your hours, keeping it to 40hrs per week.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join their busy service team. This is a hands-on role involving electrical testing, fault-finding, and servicing of boilers, chillers, pumps, and other HVAC equipment. You’ll also carry out PAT testing and support installation and commissioning activities. The work is varied, dynamic, and offers the chance to develop your skills across multiple types of sites including pumping stations, sewage treatment works, and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC and pump equipment
  • PAT testing and ensuring all equipment is safe and compliant
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults to maintain reliability
  • Keeping accurate records in line with company procedures
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to operational standards

Requirements

  • Proven electrical and fault-finding experience
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge
  • PAT testing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Strong customer service skills
