Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed.
As a Maintenance Engineer, ideally you will have;
Either Mechanical or Electrically qualified.
2 years +maintenance experience in a FMCG environment would be ideal.

Responsible for full installation of fire alarms and security systems. The engineer will travel to customer locations, install, program and commission systems in compliance with current relevant standards. This requires the engineers to have a deep understanding of the current regulations, allied to strong product knowledge and a practical aptitude to ensure successful project delivery.
In addition to new project delivery, the engineer will be required to respond to reactive fault calls. Here they will troubleshoot faulty systems to reach an accurate diagnosis enabling the repair to be affected with the aim of achieving a functioning and compliant system.
The engineer will also be required to perform planned maintenance services to Fire and Security systems. During these visits, systems will be checked to confirm that they are still fit for purpose regarding how the building may have changed either structurally or with how it is used. The engineer will check that the system is functioning fully and will look to anticipate what actions need to take place to achieve the aim of reduced unplanned fault callouts between service visits.
For each task, the engineer will complete the necessary paperwork (increasingly electronic type), noting all work performed, materials used and any further action necessary to achieve a compliant system.
To provide 24 hour call-out cover on a rota basis.
To carry out any other job specific duties as deemed appropriate.

To have experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintaining of fire detection, access control, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems to the applicable British and European Standards and knowledge also of all relevant BAFE/NSI codes of practice.
To be conversant with the products and systems installed and with any significant limitations inherent in such products and systems.
Ability to operate PC software packages used for configuration and maintenance purposes

You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance while driving improvements in reliability and safety.Key Responsibilities:Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimise downtime.Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, carrying out root cause analysis.Work confidently within control panels, carrying out electrical fault finding, isolations, and component replacement (inverters, relays, drives, sensors, motors, etc.).Support with PLC fault finding, working with ladder logic and I/O modules to diagnose issues.Undertake mechanical tasks such as replacing bearings, gearboxes, and seals when required.Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, reliability, and safety.Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure compliance with H&S procedures.Support colleagues and share best practices across shifts to develop team capability.Qualifications & Experience Required
Time-served or apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer preferably electrically qualified
Electrical qualifications (18th Edition or equivalent).
Strong electrical fault-finding skills with the ability to work independently.
Experience in a manufacturing or fast-moving production environment.
Familiarity with PLC fault finding (Siemens/Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley desirable).
Confident with both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
