This role sits within the Safety & Schedule Assurance / PMO function, supporting the planning and coordination of major civil and infrastructure works outside the main buildings - including access routes, utilities corridors, drainage, earthworks, enabling works and supporting structures.

This is not a pure design role. It is a delivery-facing integration role focused on ensuring work is sequenced, resourced, and buildable before it hits site.

The Role

As an Integration Engineer (Civils), you will support the Area Integration Senior Engineer in ensuring that planned works - typically 16 weeks ahead of implementation - are credible, coordinated, and deliverable.

You will review construction sequences for civil infrastructure and external works, checking that:

• Activities are logically sequenced
• Interfaces with other disciplines are understood
• Materials, plant and access arrangements are available
• Constraints and clashes are identified early
• Key schedule milestones are protected
• You will work across multiple contractors and stakeholders, helping to resolve ‘hotspots’ and supporting Best for Project decision-making.

An accomplished, Midlands based Interim Senior Systems/Data Architect is required to support our leading financial services client’s Datacentre Exit program, the Data Centre of Excellence and Data Engineering team.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong Senior Systems/Data Architect background, with proven experience leading on the designs for Azure based Data platforms (Azure Synapse highly desirable).

Data centre experience is also required.

Deliverables -

Deliverable 1: Support data engineering with any solutions design, HLD’s needed for the long term and strategic solution move to Synapse.

Deliverable 2: To provide IT assurance of SDP changes & DCoE initiatives, supplier produced proposals, technical reporting, remediation approaches and designs.

Deliverable 3: To produce designs and other architectural artefacts as required to support delivery of SDP/DCoE projects.

Deliverable 4: To provide tech advice and guidance to the various projects and DCoE to ensure that they remain fully engaged with the wider architectural community and comply with process and governance requirements

Deliverable 5: To provide technical advice, guidance and support to the data engineering team and Architecture as required.

We are looking for a Senior RAMSS Engineerin our Rail Infrastructure business where you ll be responsible for conducting the required engineering safety assurance and RAM activities for a portfolio of new and existing UK mainline and metro railway projects.

Within this role, you will be planning safety and RAM activities, conducting hazard identification exercises, hazard analysis and hazard record management, gathering safety assurance evidence, RAM analysis, producing application safety case arguments and liaising with key stakeholders.

You ll make a difference by

• Developing effective strategies to ensure our products, systems and applications are safe and reliable
• The daily Engineering Safety Management of the portfolio of UK mainline and metro rail projects
• Carrying out RAM requirements capture, analysis, modelling, prediction and demonstration of designs
• Putting together safety arguments and safety cases to gain railway authority approval

Your success will be grounded by

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or related discipline
• Understanding and application experience of RAM management and RAM engineering processes such as RAM planning, RAM analysis, RAM requirements capture, FRACAS and production of RAM Demonstration reports
• Previous experience in the UK rail industry with respect to the Engineering Safety / RAM management of turnkey mainline or mass transit railway projects
• Understanding and application experience of verification and validation techniques including an appreciation of signalling principles testing and Engineering Safety management and Engineering Safety processes such as safety planning, hazard analysis, safety requirements capture and safety case development

Role purpose / summary

• Produce infrastructure design documentation based on a solution architecture to be implemented by a 3rd party supplier.
• To coordinate accurate estimates for inclusion in end to end project costs and business cases and to assist with the estimates for the end to end IT costs of the Co-operative Bank.
• Leadership within projects of technical resources and SMEs.
