About the Role:
You will be the Quality Engineer with experience of working within an environment that assembles special purpose high value machinery in a growing company.
You will be responsible for supporting the Production Function, working closely with the Assembly, Quality, Design, Supply Chain, and Machine Shop departments ensuring that products and processes meet defined quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role supports operational excellence through defect prevention, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and robust quality systems implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and improving quality standards and procedures.
Lead route cause analysis, corrective action and preventative action for non-conformances.
Create, review, and approve production documentation and control plans.
Change agent providing support to production for development of new products to be released, collaborating closely with Assembly, Machine Shop, Design, Supply Chain and Quality Departments.
Drive efficiency and cost reduction to maintain productivity through projects with a continuous improvement mindset.
Act as the focal point of knowledge for the production process, supporting the operators, enhancing their knowledge of the process and parts, leading, and driving structured problem solving and process improvement activities.
Coordinating cross functional team activities to optimise cost performance, operating standards and minimising waste through the development of continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles.
Provide design for manufacture input at early stages in the project development process, coordinating with and supporting implementation of engineering changes to design and developing effective processes to ensure manufacturability of product while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and cost targets.
Supporting project management in cross-functional activity required for project execution.
Conduct internal audits and support external / customer audits.
Provide APQP experience & knowledge of quality systems.
Quality approval of engineering change processes.
PFMEA / Problem solving skills.
NPI guidance and development
Attend project and design review meetings, providing guidance and support for the efficient operation of the machine design, manufacture, assembly and install.
Continuous Improvement responsible for driving improvements utilising your engineering expertise and experience to provide counsel, self-start actions, deliver the business case for improvement.
Process Governance and implementation.
Workflow Governance and implementation.
Process and Engineering specialist, providing counsel and support to all relevant stakeholders.
Align manufacturing facilities to understand and share best practice to support standardisation.

Salary: £40,000 - £42,500
Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am to 12.30pm on Friday
Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a specialist Metal Pressing and Fabrication company who are actively seeking a proven Maintenance Engineer to join their West Bromwich location.
Our client has over 70 years heritage and are currently expanding in various areas of their business due to continued contract wins, continued investment into their staff, facilities and specialist machines.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Capital Project Manager to oversee the management and development of the school estate.
Reporting to the Head of Estates and Projects and working with the estates team, you will be responsible for delivering the capital developments across the estate, including a focus on new schools, sustainability projects and efficiency standards.
