Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 2!**Job Overview:**As a T****echnician 2 supporting our client, you will assist with deployment activities during the migration project at their Washington site. This role involves preparing deployment areas, managing schedules, distributing devices, and providing basic technical assistance to end-users.Location: Washington NE38 9DAHourly Rate: (An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.54 PAYE) OR £18.87 per hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).Contract Length: 08 Dec 2025 to 31st Dec 2025Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.Key Responsibilities
Review Inventox scheduling software for daily deployment users.
Print schedules and related documents; prepare “how-to” guides for users.
Organize paperwork in folders and set up collection points for arrivals.
Prepare deployment area daily (computers, pens, paperwork, signage) and clear at day’s end.
Confirm deployment meeting times and ensure user attendance.
Conduct deployment meetings, explain processes, and distribute computers.
Maintain accurate logs of computer allocations and handle changes if needed.
Provide basic assistance on hardware, software, and data transfer queries.
Ensure old equipment is collected and not retained by users.
Track AM and PM deployment cycles and wrap up daily operations (secure equipment, capture asset info).
Key Requirements
Experience in IT hardware handling and refresh processes.
Ability to follow structured workflows and instructions.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
Reliable and punctual with good communication skills.
