This is a newly developed team, working to transform the way that defects are located and corrected within Circuit Card Assembly manufacturing, utilising state-of-the-art Flying Probe test equipment to find faults fast and improve the fault investigation process for the test engineering teams.
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual, who can work effectively both independently or as part of a wider team. A background in Electronic Engineering, alongside attention to detail and a methodical approach to test development are essential skills for the role. Any existing knowledge of Flying Probe systems (specifically SPEA systems) is welcomed but not essential.
You will work alongside experienced manufacturing test engineers and deliver new Flying Probe test packages for the circuit cards created at MBDA’s complex technologies site in Bolton. Other aspects of the job involve delivering timely test package corrections and working on improvements to test time, test coverage and reliability of the Flying Probe systems.
Additionally, there is also scope within the role to develop your skills as a test engineer, working with the existing test engineering teams to diagnose faults down to component level and suggest remedial actions to ensure the high quality of our products is maintained.

Front Office Production Engineer – Linux, Oracle, KDB, SRE, Python, Shell Scripting, Automation, Monitoring, Observability, FIX Messaging, Fixed Income
A Senior Production Engineer with a background in Front Office Trading environments and strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is sought after by a global Investment Bank to join their FICC Production function, specifically within their REPO business line.
You will be directly involved in helping the team upskill and apply SRE principles, with a forward-thinking view on how to keep the production environment both highly and stable and available for daily trading activity.
Primary responsibilities will be split across incident management & root cause analysis, working with development teams to resolve issues, whilst facing off to Front Office users to handle queries, provide progress reports and generally helping to recover from any technical issues.
You will also be directly involved in monitoring and observability, using tools like Geneos, Grafana and Splunk, helping to create an environment where issues are picked up and resolved as quickly as possible, with the long-term aim of minimum impact to the business and production stability.

We are looking to recruit an Embedded Software Engineer to join our defence client in this onsite role based in Stevenage. You will be joining the growing Software team working to develop, test and deliver innovative solutions by exploiting a wide portfolio of software technologies. You will work as part of a small team and be empowered to work individually with little supervision.
You will need to be able to work independently and be self-driven whilst providing some technical leadership. You will need to be very proactive and comfortable working with teams outside of the SW department, and be experienced in Digital Signal Processing techniques (SDR) and able to develop embedded SW in C. To be able to work in a lab based environment using various test tools such as scopes, logic analysers, bespoke test equipment and host based testing.
Responsibilities:
An Embedded Software C Engineer capable of developing, integrating and testing embedded Software
Producing test requirements & test scripts for Unit, Subsystem and System level testing on both host and target platforms
Running tests, analysing results and using target test facilities such as debuggers, probes, logic analysers and oscilloscopes
Documentation and Design work in UML
Integration of software components with ARM multi-core platforms, FPGA subsystems and RF transceiver interfaces
Support real-time TX/RX data processing, buffering and performance optimisation on embedded targets
Contribute to system integration and verification of Software Defined Radio (SDR) datalink capability
Requirements:
Proven ability with Digital Signal Processing and the C Programming Language
Proven ability testing software products for ARM based multi-core processing platforms
Knowledge of communications protocols (e.g. SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCI-Express)
Use of DOORS
Proven ability of test tools and techniques in both host and target environments
Use of test tools such as LDRA or equivalent for host testing
Knowledge of model-based development, either in SysML/UML
Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems such as PikeOS or FreeRTOS
Understanding of real-time embedded data handling mechanisms such as DMA, interrupts and shared memory
Exposure to wireless modulation or waveform processing concepts (desirable)
Experience working with FPGA or SDR based embedded systems (desirable)
