Joining our Rod and Bar Mill team as an Electrical Engineer, youll be working on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery youll find in the industry. Some of your responsibilities will include

The opportunity:

This is a newly developed team, working to transform the way that defects are located and corrected within Circuit Card Assembly manufacturing, utilising state-of-the-art Flying Probe test equipment to find faults fast and improve the fault investigation process for the test engineering teams.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual, who can work effectively both independently or as part of a wider team. A background in Electronic Engineering, alongside attention to detail and a methodical approach to test development are essential skills for the role. Any existing knowledge of Flying Probe systems (specifically SPEA systems) is welcomed but not essential.

You will work alongside experienced manufacturing test engineers and deliver new Flying Probe test packages for the circuit cards created at MBDA’s complex technologies site in Bolton. Other aspects of the job involve delivering timely test package corrections and working on improvements to test time, test coverage and reliability of the Flying Probe systems.

Additionally, there is also scope within the role to develop your skills as a test engineer, working with the existing test engineering teams to diagnose faults down to component level and suggest remedial actions to ensure the high quality of our products is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of new Flying Probe test packages: Using the SPEA 4050S2 test system, you will follow a well-documented development process, starting from an initial circuit card data-pack, through the import to Flying Probe, debugging of tests and statistical data analysis of results. This concludes with a reliable and robust test package that can be deployed to the manufacturing operations team to use.
  • Correction and improvement of existing Flying Probe test packages: As our products evolve and updates are released, we are required to update and improve the existing test packages to accommodate any changes. Another responsibility will be improving the yield on our deployed test packages, by running statistical analysis on test results and making changes accordingly.

The company has offered a great package for the role, including a salary of £50,000-£55,000. In additional to this, the company also offer 7% pension contributions, Life Assurance, Sick Pay and a generous 25 days annual leave +8 bank holidays.

TPF Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a highly respected and well-established Accountancy Practice as they look to welcome an experienced Business Development Manager into their growing team.

Our client is expanding their newly created Growth function and is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to support ongoing firmwide growth. This role will focus on driving new client acquisition by identifying, engaging and converting prospective clients across targeted sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and the wider Growth team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing lead-generation strategies in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients, industry contacts and referral partners, involving relevant Partners when needed.
  • Working collaboratively with Partners to hand over qualified leads with the appropriate supporting materials to facilitate successful conversion.
  • Aligning closely with marketing to support targeted campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions within the CRM system.
  • Meeting or exceeding agreed sales and growth targets.
  • Supporting additional projects or responsibilities that contribute to the firm’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

The successful applicant will bring:

  • A proven track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally within accountancy, finance, or professional services.
  • Strong prospecting abilities and a proactive approach to generating opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective project management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand complex client needs.
  • A solid understanding of professional service offerings.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
