The successful candidate will play a key role in the Engineering team, performing technical analysis, developing concepts, and supporting both in-house and outsourced engineering activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment to develop their career in a hands-on, high-integrity engineering role.Key Responsibilities:Take responsibility for the structural integrity of manufactured products, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, legislative, and environmental requirementsPerform stress analysis, fatigue evaluation, and design calculations, including non-linear FEAWrite test specifications, acceptance criteria, and reporting documentationWork to specified design criteria and applicable standardsOversee in-house and outsourced engineering activities, performing design reviews for fabricated metallic productsLiaise with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverablesPrepare and manage project programmes, workloads, and resourcesInvestigate, evaluate, and resolve issues with non-conforming productsSupport problem-solving and continuous improvement initiativesEssential Requirements:Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mechanical or Aerospace)Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentChartered status IMechE/IStructE desirableStrong understanding of structural behaviour, material properties, and fabrication processesProven experience with FEA simulation (e.g., ANSYS) and structural integrity/fatigue assessmentStrong understanding of Aluminium propertiesFamiliarity with Eurocodes and relevant design standardsCompetent in 3D modelling software (e.g., Solid Edge, SpaceClaim)Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specificationsExperience with design validation, simulation, and testing (including strain gauging)Excellent IT skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesSkills & Attributes:Excellent communicator with strong report-writing and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesWillingness to travel within the UK and overseasFull driving license
