About the Role

Guidant Global is recruiting Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineers - Repair to support a critical increase in workload for a leading aerospace organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, in-service aircraft repair challenges, contributing directly to fleet safety, continued airworthiness, and operational efficiency.

You will join a highly skilled, collaborative structural repair team, delivering fatigue and damage tolerance justifications for metallic and composite aircraft structures. Working closely with Design and Static Stress Engineers, you will help develop and validate robust, compliant repair solutions across major wing repair programmes and operational repair activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis and justification reports for aircraft repair solutions, using Airbus-approved methods and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Static Stress and wider engineering teams to assess and validate structural repair designs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, offshore partners, and specialist suppliers.
  • Lead or contribute to major repair packages or complex in-service issues, including presenting repair scopes to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development of repair analysis methods, processes and inspection approaches, working alongside method experts and NDT specialists.
  • Where required, contribute across broader structural areas such as Fuselage, Empennage and High-Lift devices.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from engineers who bring strong technical capability and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis within an aerospace environment.
  • Strong understanding of metallic and composite structures, with application to repair scenarios.
  • Experience using recognised F&DT tools and processes (e.g. ISAMI, GISEH) and producing technical dossiers or reports.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and continued airworthiness principles.
  • The ability to apply sound engineering judgement, make pragmatic decisions, and work effectively to tight timescales.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence working across multidisciplinary teams and supplier networks.
