We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team within Vistry West Yorkshire, at our Wakefield office. As our Technical Manager, you will take the lead on project managing the technical matters relating to  projects within the region.

You will demonstrate a pro-active approach to design development, working within a team environment from the project’s inception through to its completion.

You will be tasked with the control of the complete design process involving the management of consultants, liaison with the relevant statutory and local authorities and other internal and external stakeholders as necessary. To ensure the designs complies to all necessary legislation, associated standards and Vistry Group specification, policy, and procedures.

Your role requires an excellent base level of Health & Safety, Environmental and Technical knowledge, including a good working knowledge of the Highways & Drainage, Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, Planning, and Affordable Housing.

About You

Our ideal Senior Health and Safety Consultant will have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

  • Experience in either construction site safety or a design-based discipline (e.g. Architecture, Engineering, Surveying).

  • A NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, or an equivalent qualification (preferred).

  • A good understanding of commercial and financial management within a consultancy environment.

  • Proven experience leading CDM projects independently.

  • Recognised membership of a professional Health & Safety organisation.

  • A self-motivated, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic approach to work.

We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in delivering capital projects from construction through to final handover.
