Degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical Engineering or Physics preferred)

Working Arrangements

This is a start up that will be using AI and tech for good working closely with clients to reduce costs and increase reliability in their day to day operations. Acting as true Consultants, you and the team will work with clients to improve workflows by identifying where automation and AI solutions can add real value.

As the tech Lead, your focus will be on:

  • Designing and delivering automation and AI solutions for a range of SMEs
  • Building out a library of reusable modules, components and internal frameworks
  • Engaging directly with stakeholders to understand needs and to identify opportunities
  • Solution architecture inc. defining solution patterns, approach and best practice
  • Growing and leading a team of Engineers as the client base further grows
  • Defining and documenting the technical roadmap, toolset, environment and processes

We need someone senior level who would be comfortable working as the first and currently only tech specialist and someone with experience across:

  • Workflow automation platforms (e.g., Make, n8n, Zapier, Workato)
  • API design, integration, authentication
  • Python, JavaScript or similar scripting languages
  • AI/ML models (LLMs, embeddings, classification, summarisation)
  • Data wrangling and ETL tools
  • Cloud platforms and serverless architectures
  • RPA or orchestration frameworks
