Role Overview

The ME Industrial Assembly Engineer will apply manufacturing engineering and project management expertise to research, define, and deliver new technologies and improvements within an industrial assembly environment. The role focuses on manual and semi-automated drilling and fastening processes, supporting both existing production equipment and future manufacturing capability.

Working closely with manufacturing operations, support functions, and suppliers, the role plays a critical part in maintaining productivity, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and support manual and semi-automated drilling and fastening equipment
  • Define new equipment requirements and develop new assembly processes
  • Provide ongoing technical support to manufacturing operations and existing machinery
  • Lead and deliver continuous improvement (CI) and EHS projects
  • Manage and support capital investment projects, ensuring delivery to cost, quality, and schedule

Job purpose

The Role

The facility in Runcorn has and will benefit from further investment this year, to increase capacity. The Role

You will be an Experienced Project Manager, responsible for managing a small multi-disciplined design and manufacturing team, working on technically complex applications - Robotics & Automation solutions. The role will require the person to manager all aspects of the Project Life-cycle. You will be responsible for working closely with the team ad clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, in the most efficient and cost-effective way, whilst maintaining extremely high quality standards. The person will have excellent planning and communication skills, being able to explain what is required to the manufacturing team and managing time effectively as there will be multiple projects running alongside each other at any given time. Some travel will be included in this role both nationally, and Internationally.

You will be qualified to HNC/Degree level in Engineering discipline, with proven Project management experience, preferably within an advanced manufacturing environment along with.

  • Experience of Contract Management and budget control
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Ability to Lead numerous projects at one time
  • Ability to deliver in accordance with existing ISO9001 QMS
