Working as part of an 8-engineer team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving production performance across 4 production lines. This role is currently 60–70% reactive and 30% planned maintenance, with a strong focus on moving towards a more proactive maintenance strategy.
You will be responsible for both mechanical (80%) and electrical (20%) maintenance, working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities and Services Support Cell Technician Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Smurfit Westrock Northampton.
The role is an integral part of the site engineering team, with responsibilities to ensure safety, legislative compliance, reliability, people leadership and continuous improvement of our plant support services. This will include electrical infrastructure and distribution, production process extraction systems, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, industrial balers, gas distribution, water distribution and fire safety systems.
The role supports the management of maintenance contracts, working with the Engineering Manager and team to ensure ‘value-for-money’ contracts and supporting compliance of statutory legislative and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities will also include monitoring plant facilities performance, planning preventive maintenance activities to ensure a safe and reliable plant.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset, and a flexible approach to working in a hands-on role across a variety of plant facilities services and equipment.
The position requires proactive approach to problem-solving and failure analysis, focused on identifying opportunities for improvement and establishing failure prevention through implementation of both preventive and predictive maintenance strategies on plant services equipment, critical infrastructure and support facilities.

You will join us as a Plant Engineer who will support the Site Manager with the safe operation of the site, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, planned down time of key equipment for planned, safe and cost effective overhaul.
Plant Engineer Requirements
The successful candidate will be qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally with experience from a related process industry. Experience in engineering, PLC controls or electronics would also be an advantage. You will ideally hold a qualification or possess experience in materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights and first aid. Training will be provided to achieve in house WAMITAB competency standards and NEBOSH, if these are not already held.
You will have the ability to follow procedure and protocol, experience of cost control and working within budget and adapt to changing circumstances effectively. Be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player but also confident to work on your own. It is desirable that you have experience of environmental, safety and quality management systems. Experience of working with planned preventive maintenance systems is also essential for this position.
Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is required. You will have the ability to operate a telehandler and obtain a telehandler licence. The role will work a shift pattern including weekends on a rota basis, call out and remote monitoring of the AD Process. Overtime is paid for approved additional hours worked.

Are you ready to take your technical skills to the next level and make a real impact in public services? We are seeking a talented EUD Engineer to join our mission-driven organisation, predominantly the requirements are to cover Milton Keynes area within Thames Valley Police Force.
This is a temporary, full-time role working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week offering the perfect opportunity to work with Thames Valley Police, focusing on enhancing ICT capabilities within the community with a Salary of 250 per day outside of IR35. Please do note this role is subject to Police Vetting Checks and will need to have been within the UK Continually for a minimum of 5 years

We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a stable and growing manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes
Maintenance Engineer responsibilities:
Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance across a range of production equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machinery
Breakdown Response: React promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production flow
PPM Activities: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance
Technical Involvement: Engage in root cause analysis and continuous improvement; experience with PLCs is a bonus
