ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role involves being the SME for PES delivery across the SNM projects portfolio. SC will be required.

Range of tasks and projects delivering SNM Value Stream scope with a focus on the delivery of Operational Technology/ Programmable Electronic Systems.

They will functionally report to the Senior/Responsible Engineer for the projects (this could be different people from project to project).

The role will require the individual to deliver the project PES deliverables in line with SL tailored process of ISO 15288 (SL QMS, standards, and guides) and be the key CE&I Person regarding PES delivery.

This role will require strong stakeholder management of operators and maintainers, operation management, safety case managers, nuclear custodians, OTG, construction and commissioning staff etc throughout the lifecycle but especially during the stakeholder requirements definition process and requirements analysis process.

As a key role within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) the individual will work closely with other design disciplines, human factors, quality, cost controls, REs & AEMs, systems engineers and OTG.

The role also covers the management and execution of supply chain delivery of the systems within the technical processes box above. Including authoring, checking, and reviewing deliverables from internal and external sources, verification and validation, quality, time, and cost management.

  • Provide lineside support within a manufacturing station environment
  • Define and develop NC programs in line with Engineering and Manufacturing specifications
  • Support the specification of jigs and tooling, including numerical simulations
  • Validate, optimise and test NC programs prior to release
  • Integrate NC programs via DNC systems or directly on machines
  • Support demonstration tests alongside Production, Quality and Work Preparation teams
  • Produce supporting technical documentation including instruction sheets and simulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and longer-term efficiency projects

About You

  • Minimum NVQ Level 4 / HNC (or equivalent)
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering or NC Programming
  • Experience working in a production or shop-floor support environment
  • Previous experience using CATIA and SAP is highly desirable
  • Understanding of aircraft or complex assembly build philosophy is advantageous
  • Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

At our UK Flagship Golborne plant, we are looking to enhance our existing engineering function Reporting into the Engineering Manager. Your role will see you actively working in both preventative and reactive maintenance activities within the plant, the main focus of your role is to minimise downtime and ensure high efficiencies are achieved within the business unit working on state of the art equipment and machinery Tasks & responsibilities: Ensure that all equipment, machinery and peripherals operate efficiently and at full capability, ensuring a continuous production process. Carry out repairs on machines as part of breakdown or preventative maintenance.
