Salary is up to £45,000 DOE plus on call allowance, plus overtime with generous expenses policy.
The Refrigeration Engineer will primarily be responsible for the maintenance of ULT refrigeration systems in Medical and Pharmaceutical settings.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the mechanics and workings of ULT refrigeration units and systems, including the ability to troubleshoot issues, adjust control systems and ensure the units meet all safety and efficiency standards.
Necessary
· Full F-Gas qualification category 1 (5+Years)

Pumps, valves, fans, controls, and associated plant
Ensure all works are completed proactively, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding
Diagnose faults across both HVAC and gas systems, completing repairs within SLA requirements.
Minimise downtime through effective troubleshooting and first-time fix focus.
Escalate complex issues to the helpdesk or Contract Manager where appropriate.
Compliance & Health & Safety
Ensure all gas works are completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and current legislation.
Ensure HVAC works comply with F-Gas regulations, manufacturer guidance, and company procedures.
Maintain site logbooks and ensure accurate compliance documentation is completed and uploaded via the CAFM system.
Work strictly in accordance with company H&S policies, RAMS, and statutory requirements.

The Role
The company require an electrical or mechanical maintenance engineer who can work to PPM schedules, working a rotating d shift pattern. The candidate will have a minimum of a time served apprenticeship and must be able to fault find on PLC controlled equipment. The role is a multi-skilled role, some work will be electrical and mechanical with a variety of production process machinery in use, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, and bearings. On going training and support within this highly focused group will give the right candidate an opportunity to progress into larger roles within this long-standing group.
