Day to day you’ll support the process by providing timely repairs to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance activities including instrumentation calibrations. A UKLTI System Administrator is required to administer, patch, secure and maintain the LSIF systems within the MISC environment, prepare the systems in line with testing requirements, and occasionally implement changes to the facility and established infrastructure.
A major function of the role is the maintenance of government furnished computer equipment (including large servers). As part of this, the liaison and effective communication between suppliers, owners, partners and users is crucial in ensuring the equipment is available to the right groups at the right time.
