We are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant who has built pensions calculators and has credible system programming and implementation skills. Who can confidently code complex pension scheme rules into accurate calculation logic while ensuring compliance with UK pensions legislation. Who also has strong analytical capability and prioritisation to work across multiple parallel workstreams and deliver on time.

You will design and deliver automated pensions calculation frameworks using T-SQL, SQL, XML and supporting scripting tools. You will collaborate with project teams and clients to develop and implement pension calculators that offer automation to support users, reduce risks and improve overall pension member servicing. You will produce technical specifications, configure system functionality, run tests and ensure all automated outcomes are accurate, compliant and aligned to client requirements.

What youll be doing as an Implementation Consultant:

  • Configuring, implementing and maintaining pensions benefit calculator systems (DB, DC, GMP equalisation, valuations).
  • Coding calculator logic using SQL, T-SQL, XML and related scripting tools.
  • Configuring workflows, data dashboards, interfaces, payroll components, data migration and reports.

An opportunity is available for a skilled Transport Club Software Engineer to support critical transport technology systems used across the UK. This role sits within the ITSO Back Office value stream and focuses on the development, support and continuous improvement of core transaction processing platforms used by transport operators nationwide.

You will contribute to the development and support of the Transport Club HOPS, Fulfilment and Actora product suites along with associated services and shared libraries. These platforms handle journey transaction processing and message routing that underpin national transport services.

The Role - Transport Club Software Engineer

  • Develop, maintain and support Transport Club HOPS, Fulfilment and Actora platforms.
  • Deliver software enhancements across the full life cycle from design through deployment.
  • Support DevOps delivery pipelines and assist with escalations from the Transport Club Service Desk.
  • Work closely with internal teams and third party clients to support platform usage and improvement.

About the Role

We are looking for a Level 2 (L2) Application Support Engineer to join a global trading operations team. The role focuses on supporting electronic trading platforms and financial applications in a high-pressure production environment. You will also participate in IT Service Management processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, and contribute to operational governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues quickly, escalating when necessary.
  • Prioritise incidents based on business impact and urgency.
  • Monitor system components and improve monitoring workflows.
  • Support and maintain both production and testing environments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and end users.
  • Document systems, processes, and operational enhancements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth release handovers.
  • Provide clear updates on outages and incidents.
  • Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation.
  • Mentor and train team members as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interest in learning new technologies and tools.
  • Experience with financial trading systems, messaging protocols, or electronic transaction platforms.
  • Understanding of FIX protocol and low-latency system operations.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., JMS) and production system workflows.
  • Knowledge of straight-through processing (STP) trade flows is desirable.
  • Networking expertise with ability to analyse packet captures.
  • Advanced Unix/Linux skills (TCP tuning, CPU affinity).
  • Scripting experience in one or more languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with system connectivity to trading platforms or exchanges is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer-service mindset.
