What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Multiskilled Engineer - Electrical bias will include:

• Undertake improvement work, maintenance and repairs of electrical and non-complex mechanical plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding
• The responsibilities will mainly be at the Acute Hospital, but will also include duties at the Mental Health unit and Retained Estate as required by the Estates management team
• Undertake any reasonable duties to maintain all services to the NHS Trust
• Carry out all works in compliance with the clients KPI’s and contract
• Maintain lighting systems, electrical sockets, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct Residual Current Device (RCD) testing and manage theatre shutdown procedures
• Support maintenance and breakdown operations across Mechanical and Fabric disciplines
• Carry out unsupervised maintenance and repairs and report any defects or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor

About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading heavy civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure works on the Sizewell C nuclear power project. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to play a key role on one of the UK’s most significant and high-profile infrastructure programmes.

Working within a highly regulated environment, you will lead the successful delivery of complex heavy civils packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing construction activities across designated work packages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of heavy civils packages on site
• Manage programme, cost control, and commercial performance
• Ensure compliance with nuclear-sector safety and quality standards
• Oversee subcontractor performance and supply chain coordination
• Drive health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) excellence
• Produce and manage project plans, risk registers, and progress reports
• Liaise closely with client representatives and senior leadership teams
• Support planning, procurement, and resource allocation activities

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.

Essential:

• Proven experience managing heavy civils or major infrastructure works (earthworks, marine, concrete, or large-scale structures)
• Demonstrated delivery experience as Project Manager or Senior Site Manager
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder and team leadership skills
• Strong commercial and programme management capability
• Valid CSCS card (Black/Professional level or equivalent)

Desirable:

• Experience working on nuclear, energy, rail, or regulated infrastructure projects
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• SMSTS qualification
• Chartered status or working toward (ICE/APM)

The Role Design and implement software for the development of high-voltage power supply products. Maintain software including version control and release archiving. Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure software design meets product and application requirements. Develop and deliver software in line with agreed project timelines and cost plans. Attend product design reviews to ensure integrity and reliability of software architecture. Support the design team in estimating project timelines and development costs. Provide supporting documentation including code explanations, calibration procedures and operating instructions. Ensure all software designs meet company engineering, quality and safety standards. Ensure designs comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. The Candidate Degree or equivalent qualification in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering. Experience in software design and development using structured programming methods. Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers including Microchip PIC/DSP controllers and TI TMS320 processors. Strong C programming experience. Knowledge of digital control theory and embedded system design. Experience with VB.NET GUI development would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to engineering challenges. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The Package The salary offered for this position is £35,000 – £45,000, depending on experience
