Give instructions in respect of the detailed programming and sequence of works and ensure that subcontractors are managed to meet these requirements. Ensure that contractors have a proper understanding of the Construction Programme dates and are managed to maintain the Construction Programme. Confirm agreed dates. Report any shortfalls on the contractor’s performance to programme and quality standards to your line manager when and only when these have been addressed but not satisfactorily resolved by the Site Manager. Identify any lack of information as early as possible and achieve resolution with the Technical Department to ensure that the programme is secured. Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Inspection to ensure all inspections are completed and all service connections completed in accordance with the Construction programme. The job holder must have a clear understanding of the construction process and the sequencing of the trades. Manage the design, manufacture and construction of the works. Liaise with the contractor to ensure the design is implemented as agreed. Coordinate with the site team in the management of production activities. Organise coordination meetings with the design team Subcontractor liaisons to ensure coordination between trades is maintained including fit out trades Monitor progress against a build programme on a weekly basis Development of QITP and Ensure full compliance with the ITP including all QA and Commissioning requirements including use of field view. Checking plans, drawings for accuracy of installation Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents Managing and monitoring whole testing and commissioning procedures and processes Liaising with the subcontractors, and management team involved in the project Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and lifting equipment to meet agreed deadlines Preparing progress reports as required Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise Raise and close out NCR’s as required. The Role
