Our client is a well-established engineering company; they manufacture a quality metal product which they supply to customers around the world.

This is a key role within the business, you will be responsible for developing existing products, resolving non-conformance issues and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will be innovative, having the ability to research and develop new products to take to market.

Key Responsibilities:

* Product development / innovation, R&D

* Engineering / production process improvements.

* Design Engineering, using AutoCAD, Solidworks & Keyshot

* Taking concepts from idea to saleable product

* Patenting new products

* Developing existing product lines

* Liaising with customers to research and develop products for their specific requirements

* Reviewing metal material choices, metal treatment options, metal coatings etc….

Our client offers a lovely work environment, with a friendly team. This role has no direct reports, but will require the successful candidate to liaise regularly with customers, suppliers and other team members

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Experience of working with metal-based products.

Experience in using AutoCAD, Solidworks and Keyshot.

Ability to work autonomously on projects, confident and capable.

Innovative, able to find solutions, bring ideas for new products, through R&D and design

Friendly, professional and committed.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to haves, but not essential:

PLC programming skills

Proven record of taking a product from concept to a saleable product.

Experience of getting a product through the patent process with legal support would also be an advantage.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5pm / Friday 8.30am – 4pm

The Role

About You

Experience with FEA, DFMA, GD&T and testing processes

The Composite Design Engineer will:

Provide technical support and guidance during the manufacturing process to ensure components are produced with precision and adhere to design specifications.

Use surfacing and solid modelling approaches to create detailed 3D CAD models.
Create detailed engineering drawings and laminate books for component manufacture.

The Composite Design Engineer will have:

Based in Selsey, our client is looking for a motivated Product Designer to join their Design and Engineering team. Youll be responsible for providing product support to the business for new and existing designs.

• Input to new products and design improvements as required within a DPDP or DPIP process.
• Ensure approved Book of Requirements requests are translated into clear manufacturing instructions in a timely manner.

• Develop and maintain product design standards.
• Liaise with production, quality and other departments as required to improve product quality.

What youll bring:

• Sound engineering understanding and experience in the design of injection moulded components, aluminium extruded sections, small turned components and sheet formed parts. Familiarity with standard manufacturing details required for the various production processes and knowledge of suitable materials
• Experience in PDM / DDM systems and workflow processes an advantage
• HNC/HND engineering qualification, preferably with solid working experience
• Proven and competent use of 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks in the creation of designs, drawings and assemblies.

We’re currently seeking 2 x Digital Skills Specialist (Trainer) to join our growing team in the Leeds office. These individuals will be working closely with the ICT Digital Learning Manager to uncover, shape and elevate our digital learning needs. Together, you’ll drive forward our ICT goals and business strategies, empowering the organisation to get the very best from its ICT team and applications. You’ll be responsible for bringing learning to life by designing and delivering dynamic, engaging training experiences across multiple channels. Help colleagues master the digital systems that power our work - boosting confidence, collaboration, safety and efficiency across the Group.

Some of the deliverables for the role include:

• Deliver ICT Induction Training, Business Systems Training, Microsoft 365 sessions and ICT Connect events to support digital skills development across the organisation. Ensure training is accessible, engaging and responsive to business needs through a mix of in-person and online sessions and eLearning packages.
• Work with the Digital Learning Manager to identify future digital skills training needs for the business and explore ways to improve digital skills learning delivery and resources.
