Ensuring variations to original drawings upon which original price was based are agreed in writing by the client and commercial agreement reached to agree compensation for any additional work.

Project Reporting – Maintain accurate records during the project lifecycle to enable regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders. e.g. Project Status; cost; margin; risk and issues; resources.

Staff Management – Responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of site installation team is in place, including subcontractors. Evidence to be provided that the installation team are competent and qualified to undertake the project requirements. Site supervisors to lead the installation team and ensure that the team are fully briefed in respect of the project requirements, including systems of safe working, RAMS and Toolbox Talks etc, and that signatures for such are collected as necessary and copies filed in the project folders and copied to the QHSE Dept.

Uniform. Take an active role in ensuring that engineers maintain a professional standard of dress, and that branded clothing is worn at all times together with other appropriate PPE as necessary.

Budget Management – Responsible for the financial planning and monitoring of the project costs, including re-forecasting as necessary

Health, Safety, Welfare & Environment – Responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff allocated to and working on a project, for the prevention of pollution, and for minimising the impact of project activities on the environment. Conducting regular site safety audits and returning all audit paperwork to the QHSE Compliance Dept.

Quality Records – Ensuring records are maintained, in the associated Site Project File, as required by the Client and by the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

You will have

To be successful as Fire Protection Project Manager, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

Relevant Construction and/or Project Management Qualifications – Required to hold a CSCS Manager level card and may also include for example, CDM, SMSTS. MAPM Desired.

Plus proven track record in building services project management including the following:

Planning and Time Management – experienced in ensuring that projects are completed within set timeframes.

Resource Management – ensuring that labour, equipment and materials are made available throughout a project and that these are ordered and delivered to site in the correct quantities and with an appropriate lead-in time

Financial and Budget Management – making sure that the project is completed within the financial budget.

Communication – arranging meetings and ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of the project’s progress.

Delegation and Motivation – the Project Manager, will be responsible for ensuring that tasks are delegated effectively and staff remain motivated to complete the project to a high standard.

  • Monthly:Drive technical strategy across stakeholder demonstrations and product reviews; shape and validate architectural decisions; support release cycles with senior-level oversight; produce high-quality technical reports; contribute to mobile and platform-level engineering initiatives; and provide thought leadership across ongoing projects
  • Fortnightly:Lead planning sessions, retrospectives, and sprint reviews, ensuring teams are aligned with architectural standards and delivery priorities. Facilitate technical discussions that influence design direction and continuous improvement across multiple teams
  • Weekly:Guide public code reviews, support engineering dojos, and refine system-level design decisions. Coach teams in adopting modern engineering practices, improving code quality, and enabling a strong shared understanding of architectural principles

What Were Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Deep understanding of core computer science principles, with the ability to apply them at architectural and system-design levels.
  • Extensive hands-on experience delivering high-quality, maintainable software in a commercial environment, ideally in a lead or principal-level capacity.
  • Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 and beyond), including memory management, templates, concurrency models, and performance-critical programming.
  • Experience with C# and the wider .NET ecosystem is highly advantageous, especially where systems require cross-language integration or sophisticated tooling support.
  • Strong experience operating within a mature software development lifecycle, including leading code reviews, facilitating design workshops, and influencing technical direction.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and the ability to architect extensible and robust software systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server, capable of analysing performance, optimising queries, and collaborating effectively with data specialists.
  • Strong background in building and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration test suites across complex, multi-layered systems.
  • Working knowledge of software design patterns, performance optimisation strategies, and tooling for high-throughput or low-latency environments.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing engineers at all levels, providing strategic technical guidance and supporting growth across multiple teams.

About the role

An international engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex, mission-critical data centre projects. This role is ideal for an experienced building services engineer who enjoys leading design packages, supporting junior engineers, and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design scope on large and technically demanding data centre projects

Opportunity Overview

We are supporting a large organisation seeking a Senior Developer with strong experience in Oracle Fusion ERP, particularly across HR modules, to support and enhance a critical enterprise platform within its Shared Application Services function.
