Role overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and sustainability guidance and support to engineers and contractors on a wide variety of steel-framed building structures projects

  • Carry out structural calculations to support the specification of Westok products for engineers and contractors

  • Carry out value-engineering calculations for projects where non-Westok solutions are specified or are under consideration

  • Take ownership of projects, managing them from initial enquiry through to final adoption on site.

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple sites, ensuring refrigeration systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and regulatory standards. The role will also support reactive maintenance during peak seasonal trading periods.

This is a business-critical role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team.

The Opportunity

You will be accountable for the performance, stability and strategic evolution of the company’s core e-commerce and business platforms. Leading a multi-disciplinary team across project delivery, platform support and continuous improvement, you’ll ensure technology enables growth without compromising customer experience or operational resilience.
Acting as the key conduit between business and technology, you’ll balance BAU support, optimisation and large-scale change - delivering at pace in a dynamic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery:

Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team (Project Managers, Product Owners, Systems & Support)
Set clear objectives and delivery frameworks across BAU and project work
Personally lead strategic initiatives while overseeing wider project portfolios
Act as the senior escalation point for platform-related issues
Own release, incident and problem management processes
Platform & Commercial Ownership
Drive ongoing optimisation of e-commerce platforms (performance, usability, conversion)
Contribute to scalable platform roadmaps aligned to business growth
Manage successful delivery of platform development to scope, time and risk controls
Oversee supplier relationships and external development partners
Provide technical and delivery leadership in client and stakeholder meetings
Strategic Contribution
Play a key role within the Senior Leadership Team
Support budget and resource planning
Improve and evolve platform delivery processes
Encourage innovation, including adoption of emerging technologies such as AI

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

You are a confident, delivery-focused technology leader who combines commercial awareness with technical credibility.
Line management experience within e-commerce, platform or systems delivery environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
Experience resolving complex issues to protect business operations

Technical & Platform Expertise:

Strong understanding of e-commerce ecosystems and platform-based businesses
Proven track record delivering projects both internally and to external clients
Experience managing third-party suppliers and development partners
Familiarity with project management and SDLC tools
Interest in emerging technology trends including AI

Commercial Acumen:
Experience working with external clients on platform delivery and performance
Budget and resource planning capability
Commercially driven mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes

Position Overview: As a Technical Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of tech professionals, across a range of technology, programming languages and roles. You will be responsible for working with the rest of the Academy Training team to develop and deliver technical training programs across various disciplines, fostering a collaborative learning environment, and ensuring that our Associates and learners are equipped with the skills demanded by the industry. You will deliver training, using in-person and remote training sessions, and provide ongoing support for our Associate Consultants and other learners.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and development of the curriculum and comprehensive training materials for various technology-related courses and our internal e-learning platform (Moodle), ensuring relevance to industry trends and demands.
Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and informative training sessions, utilising a variety of teaching methodologies.
Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in technology and integrate relevant updates into training programs.
Assessment and Feedback: Assessment and evaluation of participants’ progress, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to Associates, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning community.
Industry Networking: Establish and maintain connections with industry professionals to stay informed about current trends and opportunities for collaboration.
Professional Development: Continuously enhance your own skills and knowledge to ensure the delivery of high-quality and up-to-date training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in designing and delivering technology-related training programs
